כתב העת 'ריבונות' גיליון מס' 5 חייב לצאת לאור לפני הבחירות על מנת למנוע מהמעוניינים בכך להסתיר את הנושא המדיני מאחורי כיסוי כלכלי חברתי.

חובתנו וזכותנו היא להעלות את נושא ארץ ישראל אל מרכז סדר היום.

ניתן לבשר  כי העיתון כבר מוכן וערוך ובו ראיונות, כתבות ומאמרים מרתקים וחשובים ביותר. כל שנותר כעת הוא התגייסותכם להדפסתו ולהפצתו ברחבי הארץ.

ב"ה , בזכות תרומותיכם, שמורת 'עוז וגאו"ן' הוכנה לחורף והפכה לפנינת חמד תוססת אליה מגיעים מאות בני נוער שסופגים במקום אהבת ארץ ישראל ומחשלים את גופם בעבודת אדמה ובאימוני הגנה עצמית.

 

לצד הדור הצעיר מגיעים למקום גם מבוגרים בהמוניהם ומשתתפים בהרצאות השבועיות שאנו מארגנים, מקיימים שמחות או כל בילוי משפחתי אחר.

 

ההוצאות והעלויות רבות. עבודות פיתוח, הקמת אוהלים, רכישת נגררים, חשמל, מים, ביוב, הסברה, שמירה 24/7, ציוד לביטחון, ארגון אירועים והרצאות והסעות.

כל אלה עולים הון רב.

 

העבודה עדיין רבה וחייבים להתקדם ולהתכונן כבר לקיץ המתקרב!!!

 

כל ענייננו בפיתוח השמורה הוא הצלת נדבך נוסף בארץ ישראל.

כזכור, יער זה היה, למרות קרבתו לצומת גוש עציון, באחיזת הערבים במשך שנים רבות. הכפר בית פג'אר נמצא במרחק של קילומטר וחצי משם ונוכחותנו ביער חיונית.

בימים אלה נעשים ע"י מועצת גוש עציון מהלכים להסדרת התב"ע של הנקודה. הצלחתנו במשימה הלאומית-ציונית הזו תלויה בהמוני בית ישראל שהגיעו, שמגיעים ושיגיעו למקום. ככל שיותר אנשים יוכלו לשהות במקום ולקיים בו אירועים כך יגדלו הסיכויים להסדרת האישורים מול הרשויות השונות.

 

הפרויקטים שעלינו לקדם בדחיפות סביב 'עוז וגאו"ן' הם:

- ריצוף הרחבה על מנת לאפשר קיום אירועים.

- הכנות לפארק לשכירת קראוונים לקיץ.

- הצללות

- בניית שולחנות פיקניק, ספסלים ומתקני שעשועים לילדים כדי להגדיל את שטח האחיזה שלנו ביער

 

על מנת לממש את המשימות העכשוויות הללו - הדפסת עיתון ריבונות גיליון 5  והפצתו בכל הארץ לפני הבחירות ופיתוח והכשרת 'עוז וגאו"ן' -

Emergency Fundraising Operation

 

Less than a month remains before the elections and no one knows how the political map will look on the day after the elections. The danger that a Leftist government would be formed, supported by a large and powerful Arab party that would be more influential than ever, lurks just around the corner. In order to prevent such a scenario, we must determine facts in our consciousness as well as on the ground.

 

• In our consciousness

 

The Sovereignty Journal, issue no. 5 must go to  print before the elections in order to prevent those who are interested in doing so to hide the political matter under a social, economic cover. It is our duty and our privilege to raise the issue of the Land of Israel to the top of the agenda.

The journal is already prepared and it has interviews, reports and articles that are of supreme importance. All that remains now is for you to help us raise the funds to print it and distribute it throughout the Land.

• On the Ground – Oz veGaon

 Thank G-d, with your donations, the Oz veGaon Nature Preserve has been outfitted for the winter and has become a bustling jewel of a site for hundreds of youth who soak up a love of the Land of Israel at the site and build up their bodies by working the ground and training in self-defense.

Along with the young generation, adults in masses also come to the place and take part in the weekly lectures that we organize, hold celebrations or any other family outing.

The expenses and costs are tremendous: there is development work, setting up tents, purchasing trailers, electricity, water, sewage, hasbara, 24/7 guard duty, security equipment, organizing events and lectures and transportation. All of these cost a great deal of money.

There is still much work to be done and we must progress and already start preparing for the approaching summer!!!

Our entire interest in developing the preserve is another layer of our efforts in saving the Land of Israel.

To remind you, despite the proximity of this forest to Gush Etzion Junction, it had been in Arab hands for many years. The village of Bayt Fajjar is located at a distance of one and a half kilometers from there and our presence in the forest is essential. These days, the Gush Etzion Council is making efforts to sort out the status of the site with the Building and Urban Planning Department. Our success in this nationalist-Zionist task depends on the masses of Israelis who came, who come now and will come to the place in the future. The more people who can come to the place and hold events there, the greater the chances of successfully arranging the permits with the various authorities.

 

The projects that we must promote urgently around Oz veGaon are:

* Paving the floor to allow events to be held.

* Preparations for an RV park, for people to rent caravans for the summer.

* Setting up shaded areas

* Building more picnic tables, benches and playground equipment for children, in order to extend the area of our holding in the forest

 

In order to realize these urgent tasks – printing issue no. 5 of the Sovereignty Journal & distributing it all over the country  before the elections

and development and preparation of Oz veGaon – we must raise in the next few days at least $150,000.

ב"ה אנחנו נמצאים בתוך יער יפיפה ומדהים אך בשל סכנה של שבירה ונפילת עצים נדחה את הרצאתו של עו"ד יורם שפטל בע"ה לעונה הבאה (אחרי שבועות).

 

השבוע בפרשת משפטים:

אחרי ה"היי" המרומם של מעמד הר סיני, השבוע אנו נכנסים לפרטי המצוות. ללמדנו, שלא מספיק רעיונות ואידיאלים נשגבים, צריך לממשם בפועל.

 

אם כן נשאלת השאלה לשם מה האידיאלים, אפשר היה להסתפק רק בפרטי המצוות?

התשובה היא שהאידיאלים נותנים לנו כח, מבהירים את המטרה ומרוממים.

 

נלמד מהעניין של ארץ ישראל- לא מספיק רק לדבר על ארץ ישראל וחשיבותה אלא יש מצוות מפורשות: לרשת, לכבוש, לטעת, לבנות, ליישב, לשלוט, להחיל ריבונות.

The Storm at Oz veGaon- The lecture is postponed

 

Shalom and greetings to all our friends,

 

This Friday, the 24^th of Shevat, the 13^th of February, we will not hold an activity at Oz veGaon because of the storm.

 

Thank G-d, we are located within a beautiful and amazing forest, but because of the danger that trees may break and fall, we will postpone Atty. Yoram Sheftel's lecture until next season (after Shavuot), G-d willing.

 

This week in the Torah portion of Mishpatim:

 

After the tremendous "high" of the revelation at Mount Sinai, this week we get into the details of the commandments.

It teaches us that ideas and lofty ideals are not enough; we must actively realize them.

 

Thus, the question is asked: what are ideals for – wouldn't the details of the commandments be enough?

 

The answer is that ideals give us strength - they clarify the goal and uplift us.

 

From this we learn about the matter of the Land of Israel – it is not enough just to talk about the Land of Israel and its importance, rather,

there are specific commandments that we must do: to inherit, to conquer, to plant, to build, to dwell, to exercise sovereignty.

 

It is our privilege to merit these commandments!

Atty. Yoram Sheftel at Oz veGaon

 

G-d willing, at Oz veGaon, this coming Friday, the 24^th of Shevat, February 13, at 9:00 in the morning, we will hear Atty. Yoram Sheftel on the subject of "Jewish Heroism".

The lecture is in Hebrew with simultaneous translation to English.

Atty. Sheftel, among the most senior of criminal attorneys in Israel, is known for his distinctive, defiant and provocative style, and for his rightist opinions.

Atty. Sheftel dedicates a significant amount of his time in representing matters connected to the settlement enterprise in Judea and Samaria without monetary compensation.

When he represented the people who were expelled from Gush Katif he appeared in the courthouse with an orange bracelet and orange ribbon tied to his belt.

Atty. Yoram Sheftel has a radio program at 103 FM which has tens of thousands of listeners, in which he expresses his opinions without hesitation or fear.

We are all coming to hear him. A lecture that must not be missed.

כ-200 איש גדשו את אוהל  האירועים בשמורת היער עוז וגאו"ן שהוקמה כזכור ע"י נשים בירוק מעל צומת גוש עציון לפני חצי שנה, ביום היוודע רצח שלושת הבנים החטופים.

 

אביטל סיפרה את סיפורה- סיפור המאבק לשחרור בעלה נתן מן המיצרים המודרניים מרוסיה הקפואה.

 

אביטל הצליחה לרגש את הציבור. לא נשארה עין אחת יבשה. הסיפור שפע אופטימיות במהלך האלוקי של הגאולה ומילאה את כל הקהל באנרגיות וכוחות להמשיך את המסע.

Avital Sharansky at Oz veGaon

 

About 200 people crowded into the event tent at the Oz veGaon Forest Preserve, which was established by Women in Green above Gush Etzion Junction half a year ago, on the day that it became known that the three abducted youths had been murdered.

 

Avital told her story – the story of the struggle to free her husband Natan from the Egypt of modern times-  frozen Russia.

 

Avital's story touched the audience. There was not a dry eye in the house. The story was full of optimism and faith

in the ways of the Almighty to redeem and it filled the entire audience with energy and strength to continue the journey.

בע"ה, ביום שישי הקרוב, י"ז שבט, 6/2 בשעה 9:00 בבוקר נפגש בעוז וגאו"ן לשמוע את שיחתה של אביטל שרנסקי על "עוד סיפור בדרך לגאולתו של עם ישראל".

 

אביטל נולדה נטליה שטיגליץ ב1950 באוקראינה.  בשנות ה70 המוקדמות רצתה נטליה לעלות לארץ ישראל בעקבות אחיה, אבל הוריה לא הרשו לה.

 

בסתיו 1973 בעת מלחמת יום כיפור היא פגשה את אנטולי שרנסקי בהפגנה ליד בית הכנסת במוסקבה והצטרפה לשורות התנועה של הסרובניקים.

 

ב4 ליולי 1974 התחתנו . רק אביטל קבלה ויזה לצאת מרוסיה לישראל. תוך 24 שעות נאלצה לעזוב. נטליה השתכנה בירושלים, ועברתה את שמה לאביטל .

 

אביטל פעלה במשך 9 השנים שבעלה הוגלה לסיביר למען שחרורו. פגשה מנהיגי עולם, דיפלומטים, פוליטיקאים, דברה בכל העולם מול קהלים יהודים, בקונגרס בארה"ב, באירופה, באו"ם ובג'נבה. אמו של אנטולי, אידה מילגרום, ניהלה את הקמפיין מתוך ברית המועצות.

 

נתן שרנסקי שוחרר בשנת 1986.אביטל חיכתה לו בברלין המערבית ושניהם נסעו יחד לארץ ישראל כשאלפים חיכו להם בשדה התעופה.

 

אביטל ונתן חיים בירושלים. אביטל מרצה לעולים מברית המועצות וגם מספרת לנוער בארץ את סיפורה.אחד מסיפורי הגבורה של עם ישראל בדור האחרון, סיפור של געגועים לארץ ישראל, של כמיה לזהות יהודית. אישה אחת מול מעצמה אדירה. בכח נחישותה הצליחה לגאול את בעלה, פעיל חופש גם הוא. שניהם ביחד מסמלים יותר מכל את רוח החירות של עם ישראל.

Avital Sharansky at Oz veGaon this Friday

 

G-d willing, on this coming Friday, the 17^th of Shevat, February 6, at 9:00 in the morning we will meet in Oz veGaon to hear Avital Sharansky speak on "Another story on the way to the redemption of the People of Israel".

 

Avital was born Natalya Steiglitz in 1950 in the Ukraine. During the early years of the 70s Natalya wanted to immigrate to the Land of Israel to follow her brother, but her parents did not allow her.

 

In the autumn of 1973 during the Yom Kippur War, she met Anatoly Sharansky at a demonstration near the synagogue in Moscow and joined the ranks of the Refuseniks.

On the 4^th of July, 1974, they married. Only Avital ascertained a visa to leave Russia for Israel. She had to leave within 24 hours. Natalya settled in Jerusalem, and changed her name to Avital.

During the 9 years that her husband was in exile in Siberia, Avital was actively working for his release. She met with world leaders, diplomats, politicians, spoke all over the world in front of Jewish audiences, in the US Congress, in Europe, in the UN and in Geneva. Anatoly's mother, Ida Milgrom, managed the campaign from the Soviet Union.

Natan Sharansky was released in 1986. Avital waited for him in West Berlin and the two of them flew together to the Land of Israel where thousands were waiting for them at the airport.

Avital and Natan live in Jerusalem. Avital is a lecturer for immigrants from the Soviet Union and also tells her story to the youth of Israel. Avital's story is one of the heroic stories of the People of Israel in this generation, a story of longing for the Land of Israel, of her desire for Jewish identity. One woman against a huge superpower. Thanks to her strong determination, she succeeded to free her husband, who is also an activist for freedom. The two of them together symbolize, more than anything, the People of Israel's spirit of freedom.

We will all come to hear her. The lecture will be in Hebrew with simultaneous translation to English.
