חוטובלי בגוש עציון: אנחנו כאן, לא נוותר

סגנית שר החוץ ביקרה במאחז "עוז וגאון" שבגוש עציון והתייחסה להתנהלותו של מזכ"ל האו"ם, לגל הטרור ולחיזוק ההתיישבות. ראיון

סגנית שר החוץ ציפי חוטובלי (הליכוד) ביקרה היום (שני) בגוש עציון יחד עם ראש המועצה האזורית דוידי פרל.

הביקור נפתח בגבעת ''עוז וגאון'' בליווי ראשי תנועת נשים בירוק נדיה מטר ויהודית קצובר. סגנית השר צפתה בסרטון על המקום והתרגשה מאוד מהפעילות החינוכית שמתקיימת בשטח.

משם המשיכה לביקור ראשון ומיוחד ב"בית ברכה" שזו פעם ראשונה שנציג הממשלה מבקר במקום. חוטובלי הצהירה כי זוהי מדיניות הממשלה - להמשיך את ההיאחזות בארץ וליצור רצף התיישבותי במיוחד בגוש עציון המלא וגדוש במורשת.

ראש המועצה האזורית גוש עציון, דוידי פרל, אמר כי ''הביקור עם סגנית שר החוץ הוא התחלה חיובית לקידום החלת הריבונות. אנו מאמינים כי מי שמנסה לרצוח אותנו ולזרוע פחד, יבין כי אנו כאן כדי להישאר. כל שנותר הוא להחיל את הריבונות, דבר שיהווה פגיעה אנושה בקרב כל הטרוריסטים.

''הגעתה של חוטובלי מראה על תמיכה בתושבים וחיזוק חשוב להתיישבות. אנו קוראים לכל מי שמעוניין לקדם את החלת הריבונות שיצטרף ויבין כי רק כך ננצח את הטרור", הדגיש דוידי.

Hotovely visits Gush Etzion: We are here to stay

Gush Etzion mayor thanks Deputy FM for her visit, says it is a 'positive start' to advancing Israeli sovereignty in Judea-Samaria.

Deputy Foreign Minister Tzipi Hotovely (Likud) was joined by Gush Etzion Regional Council head Davidi Perl on Monday in a visit to the region of Judea south of Jerusalem.

The visit began at the Oz vaGaon Nature Preserve where Hotovely met with Nadia Matar and Yehudit Katsover, the leaders of the Women in Green movement.

The Deputy Minister viewed a video about the site and expressed excitement at the educational activity happening there.

From there, Hotovely traveled to the "Beit Bracha" compound, making her the first representative of the government to visit the site.

Hotovely stressed that these are the policies of the government - to continue building Jewish communities in Israel and to create a continuous presence, especially in Gush Etzion which has a proud heritage.

Perl noted that the Deputy Foreign Minister's visit is "a positive start to advancing [Israeli] sovereignty (over Judea-Samaria - ed.)"

"We believe that those who try to kill us and cause panic will understand that we are here to stay," he stressed. "All that remains is to apply sovereignty, something that will be a fatal blow to all terrorists."

"Hotovely's arrival shows support for residents and brings strength to an important settlement," Perl added. "We urge everyone who wants to promote sovereignty to join and realize that this is the only way we will defeat terrorism."

בין מאות המשתתפים ב"ליכודיאדה" שנערכה בסוף השבוע באילת, נצפו גם ראשי תנועת ''נשים בירוק'' נדיה מטר ויהודית קצובר, שפעלו לשכנע את הליכודניקים לתמוך בהחלת הריבונות ביהודה ושומרון.

בשיחה עם ערוץ 7 מספרת קצובר מה חשבה על נאומו של שר הביטחון יעלון באירוע. "הנאום היה בנוי לתפארת. לא הכל אהבתי לשמוע וזה נותן לנו אתגר ומלמד אותנו איך להעביר את מסר הריבונות בצורה נכונה.

על פעילות "נשים בירוק" לגיוס תמיכה בהחלת הריבונות אמרה קצובר ''התחלנו את נושא הריבונות לפני חמש שנים ואני שמחה שהיום סדר היום בפוליטיקה וגם בתקשורת ובשיח הציבורי הוא על הריבונות. אני מקווה שזה יתממש בקרוב".

'It's not enough to say no to a Palestinian state'

Activists at Likud mega-event lobby MKs, ministers to annex Judea-Samaria; 'The Right needs an alternative vision.'

Among the MKs, party officials and activists at last week's Likud party mock party primaries - known as the "Likudiada" - was Nadia Matar, Co-Chair of the Women in Green organization (WiG).

Over the past half-decade WiG has led a campaign for Israeli to annex and apply full Israeli law in Judea and Samaria. Known as the "Sovereignty Initiative", it has gained steam over past several years, including endorsement from leading Likud MKs and ministers.

Speaking to Arutz Sheva on Friday, Matar explained that in her view the Israeli Right needed to provide an alternative to the Left's "two-state solution" vision, now more than ever. "For too many years the national camp has been saying no to a Palestinian state, no to capitulation to terror, no, no, no. But what is our "yes"? What is our vision?"

Matar said her and her fellow Co-Chair Yehudit Katsover were in Eilat for the Likud mega-event to encourage "those people in Likud who already believe in it ("Sovereignty"), but needed a little bit more of a push."

Prominent Likudniks who have openly endorsed WiG's campaign - including in the group's monthly publication, Sovereignty Magazine - include Minister of Immigrant Absorption and Minister of Jerusalem Affairs Ze'ev Elkin; Tourism Minister Yariv Levin; Sports and Culture Minister Miri Regev; Transport Minister Haim Katz; and Knesset Speaker Yuli Edelstein.

"We came to tell the Likud: you are in power now, it is not enough to say no to a Palestinian state - what is now needed is a vision," Matar said. "What is our vision? Israeli sovereignty over Judea and Samaria, because all of Eretz Yisrael (the Land of Israel - ed.) belongs to us.

"Most people know now that the two-state solution... the call for a Palestinian state, is passe," Matar asserted. "Everyone knows that the creation of a Palestinian state in our homeland, in the Biblical heartland, is a call to suicide."

While acknowledging that Israeli annexation of Judea and Samaria - which, unlike the Golan Heights and eastern Jerusalem, was not annexed after the Six Day War but remained under IDF military rule - would pose significant challenges.

But, she argued: "We'd rather have to deal with difficulties than with the suicidal plan of the two state solution."
