בליל כ"ד תמוז תשנ"ה ה-20 ביולי 1995, ארבע נשים מאפרת — מרילין אדלר, שרון כ"ץ, איב הרו ונדיה מטר — אספו 30 נשים מאפרת ואמרו להן שהגיע הזמן לפעול. רק כשעלו לרכביהן נחשפו לפרטי המשימה: לעלות לגבעת הדגן, גבעה בקצה הצפוני של תוכנית המתאר של אפרת, ולעמוד על שלהן.
אותו לילה היה התחלתו של מאבק עממי רחב היקף, אשר משך אליו אלפים במחאה על הסכמי אוסלו ב', אשר איימו למסור שטחים לא מיושבים מיישובים יהודיים לידי הרשות הפלסטינית. הנשים והפעילים שהו על הגבעה 11 ימים לפני שפונו על ידי כוחות הביטחון — רק כדי לחזור שוב ושוב.
שלושים שנה מאוחר יותר, גבעת הדגן באפרת וגבעות נוספות ברחבי יהודה ושומרון, שהיו בעבר שנויות במחלוקת, הפכו לשכונות יהודיות פורחות — עדות לעוצמה ולנחישות של אותם חלוצים.
אך רבים לא מכירים את הסיפור במלואו.
אנו מזמינים את כל מי שלקח חלק במאבק ההיסטורי הזה, וכן כל מי שמעוניין להכיר אותו, לערב מיוחד של סיפורים, זיכרונות ותיעוד.

30 Years Since the Battle for the Dagan Hill – Time to Tell the Story
SAVE THE DATE: JULY 20, 2025
On the night of July 20, 1995, four women from Efrat — Marilyn Adler, Sharon Katz, Eve Harow, and Nadia Matar — gathered 30 local women and told them it was time for action. Only once they were in their cars did they learn the details of their mission: to ascend Givat Hadagan, a hill at the northern edge of Efrat's master plan, and take a stand.
That night marked the beginning of a grassroots campaign that would draw thousands, in protest of the Oslo II Accords, which threatened to strip uninhabited areas of Jewish communities and hand them over to the Palestinian Authority. The activists spent 11 days on the hill before being evacuated by police — only to return again and again.
Thirty years later, Givat Hadagan in Efrat and other once-contested hills throughout Judea and Samaria are now thriving Jewish neighborhoods — a testament to the strength and determination of those early pioneers.
Yet many don't know the full story.
We invite all those who took part in this historic battle, as well as anyone who wishes to learn it, to join us for a special evening of storytelling, memory-sharing, and archiving.
