הרצח המזעזע סמוך לחוות גלעד הוא עוד תזכורת כואבת לכך שהמערכה ביהודה ושומרון אינה מאבק על חווה זו או אחרת. זהו מאבק על השאלה הבסיסית: של מי הארץ הזאת.
שנים ארוכות מדינת ישראל מגיבה לטרור בהקמת עוד יישוב, עוד שכונה או עוד חווה. אך בזמן שעל כל חווה שיהודים מקימים, הערבים מקימים מגדלים ומנהלים מדינה לכל דבר.
הגיע הזמן לשים סוף לגמגום הלאומי*:
*מצד אחד לפצות אותנו בבניה. מצד שני לא לאפשר ריבונות ולתת למדינה הפלשתינית בתוכנו להמשיך להתקיים.
המסר הזה מתפרש אצל אויבינו כחוסר ביטחון בצדקת דרכנו ובזכותנו על הארץ, והוא מעודד את המשך הטרור.
התשובה הנדרשת אינה עוד תגובה נקודתית של בניה, אלא הכרעה מדינית ולאומית: החלת הריבונות הישראלית על יהודה, שומרון ועזה, ביטול הסכמי אוסלו, פירוק שלטון המדינה הפלשתינית ( תפסיקו לקרא לזה "רשות" פלשתינית) וביטול חלוקת השטח ל-A, B ו-C.
רק ריבונות ישראלית מלאה תיצור מציאות ברורה של אחריות, משילות והרתעה.
אנו קוראים לממשלת ישראל: עדיין לא מאוחר לתקן. הכריעו את המערכה גם ביהודה ושומרון ועזה. החליפו את מדיניות הניהול וההכלה במדיניות של הכרעה, ניצחון, משילות וריבונות.
למשפחות של בניהו מלט הי"ד ויובל עזרא הי"ד, שמסרו את נפשם על אהבת הארץ, אנו שולחים תנחומים עמוקים.
יהי רצון שמתוך הכאב הכבד תצמח ההכרעה הלאומית ובריבונות ישראל על כל חלקיה תמצאו נחמה.

The Sovereignty Movement: The Struggle Is Over Who Owns This Land. This Land Will Belong to Those Who Apply Sovereignty to It
The horrific murder near Havat Gilad is yet another painful reminder that the battle in Judea and Samaria is not about one farm or another. It is a struggle over the most fundamental question: Whose land is this?
For many years, Israel has responded to terrorism by establishing another community, another neighborhood, or another farm. Yet while Jews build one farm at a time, the Arabs are building highrise buildings and operating what is, in every practical sense, a state.
It is time to put an end to this national stammering:
On the one hand, compensating us with more construction; on the other, refusing to apply sovereignty while allowing the Palestinian state within our midst to continue to exist.
This message is interpreted by our enemies as a lack of confidence in the justice of our cause and in our rightful claim to this land, and it only encourages continued terrorism.
The response that is required is not another isolated construction project, but a national and political decision: to apply Israeli sovereignty over Judea, Samaria, and Gaza; to annul the Oslo Accords; to dismantle the rule of the Palestinian state (stop calling it the "Palestinian Authority"); and to abolish the division of the territory into Areas A, B, and C.
Only full Israeli sovereignty will create a clear reality of responsibility, governance, and deterrence.
We call upon the Government of Israel: It is still not too late to correct this course. Resolve the battle in Judea and Samaria and Gaza decisively once and for all. Replace the policy of management and containment with a policy of decisive victory, governance, and sovereignty.
To the families of Benyahu Melet, hy"d, and Yuval Ezra, hy"d, who gave their lives out of love for the Land of Israel, we extend our deepest condolences.
May it be G-d's will that from this profound pain will emerge a historic national decision, and that you may find comfort in the application of Israeli sovereignty over every part of our homeland.
