שישי בעוז וגאו"ן – האם יש ריבונות בירושלים?

Friday at Oz veGaon –

Is there sovereignty in Jerusalem?

 

1)    Please G-d this coming Friday December 2nd, 2016 at 9:00 am in oz veGaon we will hear a lecture by Attn. Pinny Weichselbaum, attorney with Jerusalem's Judicial advisory department on the topic: Is there Sovereignty in Jerusalem?

 

A very important lecture to all of us who promote Sovereignty to come and learn the lessons of sovereignty in Jerusalem. The lecture will take place in the heated white tent. Coffe and cake will be served as usual. A lecture not to be missed. Come one come all! Lecture is in Hebrew with simultaneous translation to English.

5)    Tens of women have registered for the Tuesday Havruta bet Midrash in Oz veGaon which we started a month ago. Every Tuesday they come and learn 4 different shiurim on Nach (the Prophets) from 9:00 am to 1:00pm. We have uploaded the shiurim on a special channel for the bet midrash. The shiurim are in Hebrew.

This coming Friday November 25th at 9:00 am we will hear a lecture by  Pinhas Inbari consultant and a senior researcher at the Jerusalem Center of Public Affairs (JCPA), a veteran journalist and commentator on Arab Affairs and the Middle East, the author of several books on the Arab Palestinians.

 

Topic of the lecture: The Palestinian Authority – the end?

We will all come to the lecture to say amen!

Lecture is in Hebrew with simultaneous translation to English

בחברון נשלמות ההכנות לשבת חיי שרה שבה יציינו גם את שנת היובל לשחרור חברון ב"ששת הימים". סעודות השבת יוענקו לאורחים ללא תשלום.

עשרות אלפי יהודים ישתתפו ב"שבת חיי שרה" בחברון, שתתקיים השנה בסימן "ריבונות ישראל" ותיערך בשיתוף תנועת "נשים בירוק".

גם לאחר 4000 שנה, העם היהודי ממשיך לציין בשבת זו את קניין נחלת הקרקע הראשונה בארץ ישראל על-ידי היהודי הראשון אברהם אבינו. עשרות אלפים יגיעו לבלות בחברון את השבת, באירוע שכבר נהפך למסורת, ומידי שנה מכיל יותר ויותר משתתפים.

האורחים, שבתוכם יהודים מחו"ל ומרחבי הארץ, מוצאים מקומות לינה בכל פינה אפשרית. המשפחות בקרית ארבע וחברון פותחות את ביתן לכל; ברי המזל מצליחים למצוא חדר בבתי הארחה או במדרשה. אחרים לנים בישיבות, באולפנה או בבתי הספר, באהלים או אפילו בשקי שינה תחת כיפת השמים.

סעודות השבת נערכות במקומות מרכזיים או בבתי המשפחות – כאשר כל משפחה פותחת את ביתה לעשרות אורחים, בני משפחה, חברים וגם אורחים בלתי מוכרים המוזמנים ברוחב לב ומצטרפים לסעודה.

החוויה המרכזית היא ללא ספק התפילות במערת המכפלה - הן בליל שבת והן בשבת בבוקר. בתוך כל אולמות המערה – הפתוחה כולה ליהודים - וברחבה הגדולה סביבה נאספים עשרות אלפי יהודים, מתפללים יחד וקוראים בתורה את פרשת קניין המערה – והמחזה העתיק דומה כאליו קם לתחיה ומתרחש ממש עכשיו.

השנה, לרגל שנת היובל לשחרור חברון, תיערך תכנית מיוחדת לקידום החלת הריבונות על ארץ ישראל, בשיתוף תנועת "נשים בירוק". כל סעודות השבת מוענקות לכל האורחים ללא תשלום בחסות "בית חב"ד" בחברון. את המבצע המורכב מארגן הישוב היהודי בחברון, שתופס בשנים האחרונות מקום מרכזי בארגון אירועים המוניים בעיר האבות - בחגים ובמועדים, בהם משתתפים מידי שנה מאות אלפים.

Many thousands are expected to come to Hevron for Shabbat Chayei Sarah. The event will commemorate 50 years since the Six Day War.

Tens of thousands of Jews will converge on Hevron next week for Shabbat Chayei Sarah, during which Jews read the Torah portion in which the Biblical patriarch Abraham buys the Cave of the Patriarchs.

The theme of this year's event, which is being held in conjunction with the 'Women in Green' organization, is "Israeli Sovereignty," to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the liberation of Hevron during the Six Day War.

Guests will come from around the country and around the world, as they do every year. Many find accommodation in the Jewish Quarter of Hevron and in nearby Kiryat Arba. Many sleep in tents, the way Abraham did about 4,000 years ago when he bought the Cave of the Patriarchs.

The central experience of the event is the prayer services in the Cave of the Patriarchs, one of the holiest sites it Judaism. The Biblical patriarchs and matriarchs, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Sarah, Rebecca, and Leah, are buried at the site. Jews revere the Cave of the Patriarch not only as the burial site of their ancestors, but as the first location in the land of Israel that was owned by the Jewish people.

עשרות נשים מגוש עציון, קרית ארבע חברון, ירושלים הגיעו ביום שלישי שעבר ליום הראשון של הלימודים והיום ימשיכו

The Havruta Bet Midrash! Tens of women from Gush Etsion, Kiryat Arba Hevron and Jerusalem arrived last week for the first classes and will continue today.
