Minister for Social Equality Gila Gamliel declared (Jan.23, 2019) in a meeting with activists that the time has come to apply sovereignty in Judea and Samaria. "After the elections, the Likud must strive to apply sovereignty in Judea and Samaria", said Gamliel at the conference.

According to her, "after fifty years of Jewish settlement in Judea and Samaria and with a half million Jews living there, the time has come to do it". Relating to the vision of two states, she explained that "we must free ourselves from this obsolete paradigm and search for new alternatives, and in my view, the only one is the application of sovereignty in Judea and Samaria. There is room for only one state between the Jordan and the sea, the State of Israel. There is no room for another dictatorship in the Middle East".

Minister Galant commits himself to implementing Sovereignty in Judea and Samaria

Minister of Immigration and Absorption, member of the Security Policy Cabinet Gen. (res.) Yoav Galant, visited the communities of the Samaria Local Council on Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2019.

During his visit, he toured throughout the area of the council and met with Head of Samaria Regional Council Yossi Dagan and Head of Local Council of Karnei Shomron Yigal Lahav.

In the process of his visit, Minister Galant declared: "I came here to tell the public in Israel and especially the residents of Judea and Samaria that we have the historic right and security requirement to maintain full control of this area".

According to him, "Settlement is the key for holding onto the Land, for sovereignty and for Zionism. The area of Judea and Samaria is the State of Israel's defensive belt". During his visit he committed himself personally to promoting the implementation of Israeli sovereignty in Judea and Samaria.

Shlomo Neeman's campaign: in the next term- Sovereignty!

Head of the Gush Etzion Council, Shlomo Ne'eman is continuing with his independent sovereignty campaign, which he initiated in recent weeks. Ne'eman asks ministers, members of Knesset and other guests to express their support for the sovereignty plan and be photographed with a sign stating this support.

Ne'eman explained in a published announcement that all guests who came for a visit in the council "have reiterated and emphasized the need for the application of sovereignty. It is clear to all that the goal of the next government to arise will be the application of Israeli sovereignty over all of Judea and Samaria".

The true Arab goal: Haifa and Caesarea

From listening to the official words of the leaders of the Palestinian Authority one cannot always know the PA's true positions and aspirations. The leaders know how to hide that their true goal is to establish a state on the ruins of Israel. The leadership of the PA is well aware of the way its words are received in Israeli society and in the international diplomatic sphere, and in order not to cause any harm to its plan of phases, for the time being it defers any declaration about the goal that it has set for itself.

On the other hand, from time to time a window is opened onto the true goals of the Palestinian leadership. Sometimes it is a former senior PA official, sometimes it is a statement that slips out in an interview with a journalist and sometimes it is a person in the field who is not held to diplomatic rules and says what is on his mind and what the leadership thinks. This is the case of Zakariya Zubeidi, who had long been sought by Israeli security forces for a series of attacks that he was responsible for and for organizing violent incidents during the Intifada in Jenin, where he lives.

This is what happened with plans by Barak, Olmert and Livni. It is happening this time as well, but Israel must not pin her hopes and her future on the Arab leadership's constant refusals".

תנועת הריבונות: תודה לעבאס. שעת מבחן לישראל

בתנועת הריבונות מגיבים לדיווחים על פרטיה הראשונים מתכניתו המדינית של נשיא ארה"ב, דונלד טראמפ. ראשי התנועה, יהודית קצובר ונדיה מטר, אומרות: "תודה לאבו מאזן ולהנהגה הפלשתינית, ששוב מצילים אותנו מתוכנית התאבדותית, הפעם של ממשל ידידותי. כך היה גם מול תכניות ברק, אולמרט ולבני. כך קורה גם כעת, אך אל לה לישראל לתלות את יהבה ואת עתידה בסרבנותו של המנהיג הערבי".

דבריהן של קצובר ומטר מגיעים על רקע הדיווחים ולפיהם תכנית טראמפ תכלול את חלוקת ירושלים והקמת מדינה פלשתינית על שטח של 90 אחוזים מיהודה ושומרון, ותגובת ההנהגה הפלשתינית הדוחה את הרעיון.

"ממשלת הימין צריכה לומר את דברה. משמעותו של רעיון שתי מדינות היא התאבדות מדינית מסוכנת אף יותר מתכנית הגרעין האיראנית. התקפלות מדינית תשדר חולשה נוראית לשכניה של ישראל ותהווה הזמנה למתקפות טרור, מאבקים מלחמתיים ואף תקיפות איראניות. חוסר ההכרעה של מלחמת ששת הימים בעוכרינו. כעת, בשעה בה מתפרסמים נתונים לא רשמיים כמעין בלון ניסוי לבחינת התגובה הישראלית, הן בהנהגה והן בציבור, יש להגיב במלוא העוצמה בהחלת ריבונות ישראל על יהודה ושומרון. בכך תבהיר ישראל את עמדתה עוד קודם לפרסום התכנית האמריקאית הרשמית", אומרות קצובר ומטר.

"כאשר ישראל אינה מצהירה ומבהירה באופן נחרץ את עמדותיה לא ניתן לצפות לעמדות נחרצות יותר מכיוון הבית הלבן. אם ארה"ב אכן ידידה היא תבין את ההתנגדות העצומה שיש בציבור הישראלי, בממשלה ובקרב אנשי הרוח בישראל למהלכים מסוג זה. הפרסומים האחרונים מציבים מבחן רצינות עבור ישראל על רבדיה השונים עוד בטרם ההכרזה על התכנית האמתית. חובה עלינו להצליח במבחן זה ולבלום את הדבר האמתי".

קצובר ומטר מוסיפות ומדגישות: "הארץ הזו חיכתה לבניה, קבלה אותנו בזרועות פתוחות לתוכה. הניבה את פירותיה בשפע רב. השפע גלש גם לשכנים. אין עוד מדינה בה הם נהנים כמו הדמוקרטיה שלנו, הרפואה שלנו, האוניברסיטאות שלנו, החקלאות שלנו ועוד ועוד. השפע הישראלי גולש ומפרה את העולם כולו. הצרת גבולותינו, חלילה, תכניס אותנו למאבקים בלתי פוסקים על עצם קיומנו.

עלינו להתעשת ולהגיב ב"לא רבתי" לשמועות ולדחות מכל וכל את התכנית האמריקאית. לא ארץ זרה כבשנו, אלא שבנו למחוזות אבותינו. כל פשרה תפגע בעיקרון ובאמת הנצחית והפשוטה: ארץ זו שלנו היא. אין עם המוותר על לב מולדתו. הוויתורים שהובילה ההנהגה הישראלית עד כה חיזקו את ההסברה הערבית שצלחה לאין ערוך יותר מזו שלנו. זו שעתו של העם לדרוש מנבחריו המבקשים את אמוננו בקלפיות, לומר את דברם באופן נחרץ וברור. נזהה את הימין האמתי על פי מחויבותם לריבונות על ארצינו".

The Sovereignty Movement: Thank you Abbas. A critical test for Israel

Katsover and Matar are responding to reports that the Trump plan will include the division of Jerusalem and establishing a Palestinian state on 90 percent of Judea and Samaria, and the Palestinian rejection of the idea.

"The Rightwing government must speak out. The meaning of the two-states idea is even more dangerously suicidal politically than the Iranian nuclear plan. Political capitulation will send a terrible message of weakness to Israel's neighbors and will be an invitation for terror attacks, military battles and even Iranian attacks. The lack of resolution after the Six Day War is the cause of so many of our problems. Now, as unofficial details are published as a kind of trial balloon to gauge Israeli response, both from the leadership and the public, we must respond with full power with the implementation of Israeli sovereignty in Judea and Samaria. In this way Israel will make clear its position even before the American plan is published officially", say Katsover and Matar.

"If Israel does not express its position resolutely, we cannot expect more resolute positions from the White House. If the U.S. is indeed a friend, it will understand the tremendous objections that the Israeli public, government and intellectual leaders in Israel have, to steps of this sort. These recent publications present Israel with a critical test of her seriousness in the various layers of society even before the actual plan is released. We must pass this test and stop the actual plan".

Katsover and Matar continue, emphasizing: "This Land waited for its children and received us with open arms. It has yielded its fruit in great abundance. This abundance has spilled over to our neighbors. There is no other country where they can thrive and enjoy our democracy, our medical care, our universities, our agriculture and much more. Israeli abundance has spilled over and makes the entire world more fruitful. Constricting our borders, Heaven forbid, will force us into endless battles for our very existence.

We must wake up and respond with an absolute "NO!" to the rumors and totally reject the American plan. We have not conquered a foreign land, but have returned to the inheritance of our forefathers.

Any compromise will harm the principle and this eternal truth: This Land is ours. No people gives up its homeland. The withdrawals done by Israeli leadership until this point have strengthened the Arab hasbara (advocacy) that sadly has been incomparably more successful than ours, and their false narrative continues to spread. This is a critical time for the People to demand from its elected officials, who seek our support at the ballot box, to speak out openly and clearly. We will know the true Right by its commitment to sovereignty over our Land".

הלאומיאדה תיפתח היום בפאנל ריבונות

הפאנל ישודר בשידור חי בדף הפייסבוק של תנועת הריבונות

שלושת ימי ההתכנסות של בכירי המחנה הלאומי ייפתחו בפאנל בו ישתתפו שרים, חברי כנסת ואישי ציבור, לדיון על דרכי יישומו של חזון הריבונות הישראלית על יהודה ושומרון.

הלאומיאדה, אירוע הדגל הססגוני של המחנה הלאומי, תיפתח בפאנל מיוחד שאותו תוביל תנועת הריבונות ויעסוק בחזון הריבונות ודרכי יישומו, אירוע בו ישתתפו שרים, חברי כנסת ובכירים.

אירוע הלאומיאדה הנחשב לאחד המפגנים המשמעותיים של בכירי המחנה הלאומי בפוליטיקה הישראלית יפתח באילת היום (חמישי) וימשך עד מוצאי שבת, כאשר פאנל הריבונות יהווה נקודת הזינוק של כלל הדיונים שיתקיימו במהלכו.

בפאנל צפויים להשתתף השר זאב אלקין, השר חיים כץ, סגן השר ח"כ מייקל אורן, סגנית השר, ח"כ ציפי חוטובלי,, חבר הכנסת בצלאל סמוטריץ', ראש מועצת בקעת הירדן דוד אלחיאני, באסם עיד מגדולי הנאבקים בהנהגת הרש"פ, ציר ישראל לשעבר בוושינגטון יורם אטינגר ופעיל ההתיישבות בתנועת הליכוד, שבח שטרן שיחד עם שותפו נתן אנגלסמן קידם את הטמעת רעיון הריבונות בשורות המפלגה ובמוסדותיה.

את הפאנל צפוי להנחות העיתונאי והפובליציסט שמעון ריקלין ומאחורי ארגונו והקמתו עומדות ראשי תנועת הריבונות, יהודית קצובר ונדיה מטר. במהלך הדיון צפויים חברי הכנסת והאישים השונים לקיים בין השאר מעין דין וחשבון מסכם לקדנציה האחרונה בכנסת על מנת לבחון אם ועד כמה התקדם חזון הריבונות במהלך שנות כהונתה של הממשלה.

עוד ידונו משתתפי הפאנל בדרכי יישום רעיון הריבונות לנוכח התמורות האזוריות והבינלאומיות ולנוכח מה שמוגדר כצוהר ההיסטורי שמעניק ממשל טראמפ לקידום האינטרס הישראלי בזירה המדינית. כמו כן יעסקו המשתתפים במעמדה של הרשות הפלשתינית כתורמת לפתרון האזורי או כמכשול לו.

ראשי תנועת הריבונות, יהודית קצובר ונדיה מטר, הנערכות לאירוע, מציינות את חשיבותו של הפאנל דווקא בלאומיאדה, המהווה ביטוי כולל למחנה הלאומי כולו ולא רק למפלגות קצה כאלה ואחרות. "העובדה שמארגני הלאומיאדה בחרו בחזון הריבונות להיות הנושא הפותח של שלושת ימי המפגן החשוב הזה, מלמדת את חשיבותו של הרעיון והיותו המענה המדיני-פוליטי היחיד שאותו יכול וצריך המחנה הלאומי לשאת", אומרות קצובר ומטר המזכירות כי הכנס מתקיים במלאת שנה בדיוק להחלטת מרכז הליכוד ולפיה המפלגה תחתור להחלתה של ריבונות ישראל על יהודה ושומרון. "שנה אחרי ההחלטה ההיא הגיעה השעה לבחון עד כמה נעשו צעדים מעשיים להגשמתה של ההכרזה שהיוותה ציון דרך ערכי לתנועה וחבריה".

עם זאת לדבריהן אתגר ההסברה של חזון הריבונות בחברה הישראלית עודו גדול ויש לקדמו בכל דרך. "נפשו של עם ישראל חוזרת אל ארצו והוא רוצה לתת לכך ביטוי בהחלת ריבונות ישראלית על יהודה ושומרון, ערש הולדתו של העם. העם בישראל רוצה לראות את מנהיגיו מובילים אותו אל החזון, ובפאנל זה שנקיים מחר נשמע ממקבלי ההחלטות בממשלה ובכנסת כיצד מתבצעים הצעדים המעשיים ליישומו של החזון הציוני וההיסטורי של שיבת ריבונות עם ישראל לארצו".

את דבריהן חותמות קצובר ומטר בדברי תודה למארגני הלאומיאדה כולה: מושיקו פסל, משה בן זקן וניר בן סימון. "השלושה הבינו ומבינים את חשיבותו של החזון כציון יעד מדיני ופוליטי למחנה הלאומי כולו, ומתוך הבנה עמוקה זו בחרו דווקא בנושא הריבונות להיות ליריית הפתיחה של הלאומיאדה כולה, ועל כך תודתנו והערכתנו".

The "Leumiada" will begin today with a Sovereignty Panel

The panel will be broad cast live on the FB page of the Sovereignty Movement

The three days of the gathering of senior figures of the national camp will begin with a panel joined by ministers, members of Knesset and public figures for a discussion on how to implement the vision of Israeli sovereignty in Judea and Samaria.

The Leumiada, the colorful flagship event of the national camp, will open today Thursday January 10^th,with a special panel, led by the Sovereignty Movement and will deal with the vision of sovereignty and how to implement it. Ministers, members of Knesset and other senior figures will participate.

The Leumiada event, which is considered one of the most significant demonstrations of senior members of the national camp in Israeli politics, will begin in Eilat today (Thursday) and will continue until Saturday night, and the sovereignty panel will constitute the starting point for all discussions that will be held during the event.

The panel will include Minister Ze'ev Elkin, Minister Haim Katz, Deputy Minister MK Michael Oren, Deputy Minister MK Tzipi Hotovely, MK Bezalel Smotrich, Head of Jordan Valley Council David Elhiani, Bassam Eid, one of the most prominent Arab critics of the PA, former Israeli Ambassador to Washington Yoram Ettinger, and settlement activist in the Likud Movement Shevah Stern, who, together with his partner, Natan Englesman, promoted the adoption of the idea of sovereignty within the ranks and institutions of the party.

The panel will be led by journalist and publicist Shimon Riklin and the heads of the Sovereignty Movement, Yehudit Katsover and Nadia Matar, are the ones who organized it and brought it to fruition. During the discussion, MKs and various other people are expected, among other things, to hold a sort of accounting in summary of the last term of Knesset in order to discern whether and how much the vision of sovereignty has been advanced during the years of this government's term.

The participants will also discuss ways to implement the idea of sovereignty in light of regional and international changes and in light of what is defined as the historic window of opportunity that the Trump administration provides for the advancement of Israeli interests in the political arena. Moreover, the participants will also deal with the position of the Palestinian Authority, whether it contributes to a regional solution or serves as an obstacle.

The co-chairwomen of the Sovereignty Movement, Yehudit Katsover and Nadia Matar, who are preparing the event, note the importance of the panel, especially in the Leumiada, which is a general expression of the entire national camp and not only some sort of fringe parties. "The fact that the organizers of the Leumiada chose the vision of sovereignty to be the opening topic of three days, demonstrates this importance, tells us about the importance of the idea and how it is the only political-diplomatic answer that the national camp can and must advocate", say Katsover and Matar, who remind us that the conference is being held exactly a year after the decision of the Likud Central Committee that the party would strive toward the application of Israeli sovereignty in Judea and Samaria. "One year after that decision, the time has come to see how many practical steps have been taken to realize the declaration that was an ideological milestone to the movement and its members".

However, according to them, the hasbara challenge of the vision of sovereignty within Israeli society is still great and must be promoted in every possible way. "Israel's soul returns to its Land and the People desire to express this by the application of its sovereignty in Judea and Samara, the birthplace of the People. The People in Israel want to see its leaders guide it toward the vision and with this panel that we will hold tomorrow, we will hear from the decision-makers in the government and the Knesset, how the practical steps are being carried out toward implementation of the Zionist and historical vision of the return of the People of Israel's sovereignty to its Land".

Katsover and Matar conclude with words of gratitude to the organizers of the Leumiada: Moshiko Pasal, Moshe ben Zaken and Nir ben Simon. "These three people understand the importance of the vision as a diplomatic and political goal post for the entire national camp, and from this deep understanding they specifically chose the topic of sovereignty to be the opening shot for the entire Leumiada, and for this, we express our thanks and appreciation.

תנועת הריבונות זוכרת ומוקירה את הפרופ' ארנס, מתומכי ריבונות ישראל על הארץ כולה

תנועת הריבונות מביעה צער עם לכתו של פרופ' משה ארנס, שגריר ישראל ושר הביטחון והחוץ בעבר, ציוני נלהב, מאוהבי הארץ הגדולים ומתומכי חזון החלת הריבונות הישראלית מהים ועד הירדן.

ראשי התנועה, יהודית קצובר ונדיה מטר, מזכירות את תמיכתו המעשית במהלכיה של תנועת ההתיישבות ביהודה ושומרון, את השתתפותו בכנסים והרצאות שאורגנו על ידי התנועה ואת עמדתו הנחושה לפיה על ישראל לפעול על פי האינטרסים שלה בלבד, מבלי לחשוש מלחצים אמריקאיים ואחרים.

בדבריהן מזכירות קצובר ומטר את דבריו של הפרופ' ארנס בראיון לגיליון 5 של כתב העת 'ריבונות', שם אמר: "אנחנו צריכים לדאוג לאינטרסים שלנו, והאינטרסים שלנו הם חיוניים וביטחוניים ביהודה ושומרון. את המדיניות שלנו אנחנו צריכים לקבוע על פי האינטרסים שלנו", חידד ארנס ז"ל והוסיף כי עצמאותה ומעמדה הכלכלי של ישראל איתנים דיים כדי לעמוד בפני כל לחץ בינלאומי: "מדינת ישראל התקדמה בצעדי ענק. ישראל כיום היא מדינה יחסית עשירה עם צמיחה מרשימה במשך השנים. זה יפה לקבל מענקים אבל צריך לזכור שמדובר בסיוע שמשרת גם את האינטרסים האמריקאיים. אלה לא מתנות", אמר אז.

"מתוך גישה זו דגל הפרופ' ארנס המנוח בהחלת ריבונותה של מדינת ישראל על כל מרחבי ארץ ישראל תוך דאגה לזכויותיהם האזרחיות של בני המיעוטים, כעולה וכמתבקש מהמוסר היהודי", מציינות קצובר ומטר.

The Sovereignty Movement recalls and honors Prof. Moshe Arens, one who supported Israeli sovereignty over the entire Land

The Sovereignty Movement expresses its sorrow over the passing of Prof. Moshe Arens, former Ambassador of Israel, Defense Minister and Foreign Minister, an ardent Zionist, one of the greatest lovers of the Land and supporters of the vision of the application of Israeli sovereignty from the sea to the Jordan River.

The movement's two chairwomen, Yehudit Katsover and Nadia Matar, remind us of his practical support for the settlement movement in Judea and Samaria, his participation in conferences and lectures organized by the movement and his resolute position that Israel must act only according to its own interests, without fear regarding pressures from the Americans or other sources.

Katsover and Matar also note Prof. Arens' words in an interview for Issue no. 5 of the Sovereignty Journal, in which he said: "We must take care of our interests and we have essential security interests in Judea and Samaria. We must create our policy according to our own interests", Arens, obm, emphasized, adding that Israel's independence and economic condition are strong enough to stand up to any international pressure. "The State of Israel has made great strides. Israel is currently fairly wealthy country that has been experiencing impressive growth for years. It is good to receive aid but we must remember that this aid also serves the interests of the Americans. It is not a gift", he said at that time.

"As part of the late Prof. Arens' approach, he advocated the application of the State of Israel's sovereignty in all areas of the Land of Israel, while assuring the civil rights of members of minorities, as required by Jewish ethics", note Katsover and Matar.

Nadia Matar has been a fighter for Eretz Ysrael, Am Ysrael, and Torat
Yisrael for the last 35 years. Along with her late mother-in-law, Ruth
Matar, Nadia founded Women in Green in the 1990s, a grassroots
movement opposed to any surrender of biblical Israel to Yasser
Arafat's Palestinian Authority.

She was arrested numerous times and sat in jail on several occasions
with her mother-in-law, resulting in a wonderful bond between the two.
"I tell every girl that the best formula for a wonderful marriage is
to go to jail with your mother-in-law, fighting for Eretz Yisrael,"
she told The Jewish Press during a recent interview from her home in
Efrat.

Today, she heads the Sovereignty Movement alongside Yehudit Katsover,
whose heroism in 1979-1980 helped lead to the founding of modern
Chevron and whose husband served as mayor of Kiryat Arba for 20 years.

The Jewish Press: What's your background?

Matar: I was born to a non-religious traditional family in Belgium. On
Shabbos we lit candles and made Kiddush and then ate non-kosher and
watched TV. As I grew up, I started asking questions – how could we
keep Yom Kippur one day and be mechallel Shabbos the next? – so I
joined Bnei Akiva and started keeping Shabbos and kosher.

But then I couldn't understand why people who were keeping these
mitzvos were not also fulfilling "Vetechezeina einenu beshuvcha
l'Tzion berachamim" and moving to Eretz Yisrael. I went to Eretz
Yisrael for one year and came back because of kibud av va'eim. But my
parents saw how miserable I was in chutz la'aretz, so they finally
gave me their beracha to move to Eretz Yisrael.

How did you become the activist you are today?

I guess it was in my genes, and the upbringing I got at home. I was
very involved in the struggle for Russian Jewry. But when I first got
married, all I wanted to be was a stay-at-home mommy. My first three
kids were born with me as a housewife and mother.

When and how did that change?

In 1992, the Rabin-Peres government came to power with four promises:
no talks with the PLO; no Palestinian state; no division of Jerusalem;
and no retreat from the Golan Heights.

But almost immediately after the elections, we started hearing talks
of giving up the Golan. So when my husband and I heard about a
demonstration in Jerusalem against retreating from the Golan, we took
our kids and went.

The next day, the media published a horrible-looking picture of a
settler with a beard, peiyos, a gun, and two little kids. The caption
read something like: "Settlers and religious Bnei Akiva youth
demonstrate against giving away the Golan Heights." My mother in-law,
Ruth Matar, immediately grasped the full meaning of the headline:
"They're trying to delegitamize us and portray us as lunatics," she
said.

So we decided to organize, and that's when Women in Green was born.

Women In Green soon became known for its animated street protests.
When did those begin?

We were growing fast in the beginning, but we got no press coverage
whatsoever. We were naïve and inexperienced and didn't realize the
press didn't want the world to know there was opposition to the Oslo
Accords.

So we decided if the press wasn't going come to us, we would go to the
press. Whenever there was a newsworthy event, we went. If the prime
minister, for example, was talking somewhere, we went, made noise,
held up provocative signs, and got the attention of the media.

And that's when our troubles began. All of a sudden, the police – who
previously had ignored us – started beating us, breaking our ribs, and
arresting us on false charges.

Some of us forget how charged the atmosphere was in the 1990s with
Israel ceding more and more land to the PA – despite vigorous protests
– and only getting terror in return.

I speak to my kids and they don't remember the terrible years we went
through. Buses were being blown up. Every day we left our house not
knowing whether we were going to come back or what funeral we were
going to attend. We buried so many friends.

After the Disengagement in 2005, many people gave up and said, "What's
the point?" But we felt that if we didn't succeed in preventing the
Disengagement it was only because we didn't work hard enough.

Today, you are one of the leaders of what's known as the "sovereignty
movement," which essentially calls on Israel to annex the West Bank.
How did that start?

We realized that demonstrations and vigils were not going to save
Judea and Samaria. I always compare it to an aquarium. You can kill
the fish in two ways: either by taking the fish out of the aquarium or
by making a small hole in the aquarium. The fish continue to swim, but
little by little the water disappears.

That's exactly what's happening today. What is the water? The water is
the land in Judea and Samaria. You have Jewish communities and Arab
villages there, but in the middle there's a lot of empty land. The
Arabs, very smartly, said, "Let's take over those empty lands and
choke the Jewish communities."

And that's what they've been doing, completely unhindered by the
authorities because the Civil Administration here in Israel,
unfortunately, is very left-wing and doesn't care. They say, "Judea
and Samaria is not ours, so what do I care if the Arabs take over Area
C with illegal construction, illegal agriculture, and illegal takeover
of abandoned army bases?"

What's your solution?

Sovereignty! Apply Israeli law over Judea and Samaria – which is what
we should have done the day we won the Six-Day War. At the time, the
government was in such shock that we won that they didn't know what to
do with those areas, so they created something called the "Civil
Administration" and thought that within a few months they'll decide
what to do with the land.

But those few months turned into 50 years, and we now have this weird
situation where a Jew living in Judea and Samaria has a different
status than a Jew living in Raanana, Tel Aviv, or Ashdod.

Why is applying sovereignty in Judea and Samaria so significant?

Because when Israel didn't apply sovereignty, the world started asking
questions. "Wait, if it's yours, why don't you include it?"

It's like the famous story of King Solomon and the baby. If somebody
else is saying it's his and you're not saying it's yours, and you're
even willing to give parts of it away, then maybe it's not yours. In
other words, all the complaints of the world that we are occupiers we
can at least partially blame on ourselves.

People argue that you can't declare sovereignty over the West Bank
because then you would have to give the Arabs living there the right
to vote.

That's not true. There's legal backing to prove that. The best example
is the Jerusalem Arabs. There are 300,000 Arabs in Jerusalem, who have
no voting rights for the Knesset. They are residents, not citizens,
and the sun is still shining every morning.

People argue that if Israel doesn't give all residents voting rights,
it can't be considered a democracy.

We are saying that democracy has different definitions. First of all,
every democracy has to defend itself. It cannot be suicidal in giving
tools to a minority within its borders to take over the democracy and
turn it into an Arab dictatorship.

There is something that we call "Zionist democracy," which means that
you give everyone basic human rights but no voting rights. In Puerto
Rico there are no voting rights and nobody makes an issue out of it.

You have an urgency in your voice.

Yes, because there is no other alternative to sovereignty. The
alternative is a two-state solution, which is suicide. And the status
quo is impossible because every minute that we are on the phone the
Arabs have taken over another hill. They do it all the time. Everyone
who lives in Judea and Samaria sees it, and if we don't act fast we
will have no more land left.

What are the chances, practically speaking, that the Knesset will
apply Israeli sovereignty over the West Bank?

Let's start with applying sovereignty over the existing Jewish
communities in Area C where there are hardly any Arabs. Or at least
let's apply sovereignty over the Israeli communities. There should be
no opposition to that at all. There is not one Arab in any Israeli
community, so that is practical.

The Likud actually voted for this unanimously in December. It's now in
the official platform of the Likud party.

So why didn't the Knesset, which was led by Likud in recent years, do it?

There is only one answer: Bibi Netanyahu.

Why is he against it?

He's not saying. But we know one thing: We have to increase the
pressure. It's going to happen in the end, whether it's with Bibi or
somebody else. Bibi is not the Messiah.

People sometimes say that if Israel is too hawkish it will lose the
support of America. What's your response?

G-d arranged it that we now have an administration that told us from
the very beginning that America will respect what Israel wants. So we
are here to tell them that the majority of the Jewish people wants
sovereignty and not a Palestinian state – that we want Eretz Yisrael
and not suicide.

President Trump is supposed to soon unveil his peace plan, which
allegedly calls on Israel to make concessions of various sorts to the
Arabs. Are you going to fight him?

From what we understand, the Trump plan is something they're going to
suggest – not impose. The Trump Administration people are smart and
know about our Biblical right to this land. They know that the
Palestinian Authority are basically terrorists who want all of Israel.
They don't want peace. They want piece after piece after piece.

It's very hard for me to believe that anyone who is smart will try to
impose on us concessions that are against Israel and against simple
logic.

I hope and pray the Trump plan calls for the application of Israeli
sovereignty over Judea and Samaria because that will bring real peace
and good life for the Jews and the Arabs.

But what if it calls for a two-state solution. Will you fight it?

We will oppose it and bring down any government or prime minister who
will agree to a two-state solution just like we did till now.
