חברים יקרים

 

עד לפני שבוע, מאז העלייה לעוז וגאו"ן לפני חצי שנה, זכינו להשתמש בספר תורה של משפחת פישברגר מאפרת. אנו מודים להם על כך.

 

מהשבת הקרובה בע"ה נקרא בספר התורה שנכתב לזכר הרב אלי ודינה הורביץ הי"ד.

Tefillot and Sefer Torah at Oz veGaon

 

Dear Friends

 

Up until a week ago , for the past six months since the Aliya to Oz veGaon, we had the pleasure to use the Sefer Torah of the Fischberger family in Efrat. We thank them for that.

 

From this coming Shabbat on, we will, please G-d, read from a Sefer Torah that was written in memory of Rav Eli and Dina Horowitz hy"d.

 

Tefillot in Oz veGaon for this coming Shabbat Parashat Shelach:

3.      Kabbalat Shabbat with Rabbi Rafi Tawil 15 minutes after candle lighting

4.      Tefillat Shacharit at 8:15 am followed by Kiddush

 

There is an eiruv to Oz veGaon. For those walking to oz veGaon from Efrat through Migdal Oz please contact us for the code of the gates.

Ina helped make history, she directed it, she changed it, and led it toward redemption

Rabanit Puterokovsky is on of the founders of Forum Takana, a member  of the social organization "Maagalei Tsedek(circles of justice)."

 

She lectures on leadership, relations between religious and secular , religious law as a factor affecting the life of the individual and society in Israel.

Hadassah Marcus, obm

 

The Women in Green Movement mourns the death of Hadassah Marcus – a noble woman, imbued with ideals, the mother of children who walk in her path, the path of total self-sacrifice to the People of Israel and the Land of Israel

Hadassah Marcus was for us an inspiration, as mother-teacher-hero-warrior who, together with her husband Arthur (may he be rewarded with a long life), imparted to her sons and daughters, the love of the Land and the ideal to "take it upon yourself to finish the work".

Thanks to her educational efforts, her children continue to defend the People of Israel and the Land of Israel as valued principles.

We owe her and her children much gratitude.

With her leaving, more and more of her activities become revealed. Hadassah left behind a clear path; may we be faithful to it and lead others in her footsteps.

 May her memory be blessed and bound up with the other great leaders of the People of Israel from whom we draw our strength to climb this goodly mountain

 To the entire dear Marcus family, may you find consolation in the building of the Land of Israel

בע"ה ביום שישי הקרוב, ג' שבט תשע"ה, 23/1/2015 בשעה 9:00 בבוקר נשמע את הרצאתו של ד"ר גבי ברקאי על הנושא "סינון עפר מהר הבית".

 

ד"ר ברקאי ארכיאולוג, בעל תואר דוקטור מאוניברסיטת תל אביב.
מרצה במחלקה ללימודי ארץ ישראל וארכיאולוגיה באוניברסיטת בר-אילן. במשך קרוב ל-30 שנה עבד באוניברסיטת תל אביב.

חתן פרס ירושלים לארכיאולוגיה לשנת 1996.

ברקאי הוא מומחה חשוב לארכיאולוגיה של ירושלים וחלק גדול מפעילותו נעשה בירושלים. אחראי לאחד הממצאים הארכיאולוגיים החשובים ביותר בעיר בעשורים האחרונים אם לא החשוב שבהם - קמיעות הכסף של כתף הינום. הקמיעות הללו הן העדות הראשונה ובינתיים היחידה לכך שפסוקים מהמקרא היו מוכרים כבר בימי בית ראשון.

ד"ר ברקאי מנהל כיום את פרויקט סינון עפר החפירות שהוצא על-ידי הווקף המוסלמי מהר הבית.

Friday at Oz veGaon with Dr. Gabi Barkai

 

This coming Friday, the 3^rd of Shevat 5775, January 23^rd, 2015 at 9:00 in the morning, we will hear Dr. Gabi Barkai's lecture on the subject of "Filtering the dust from the Temple Mount".

Dr. Barkai is an archaeologist, with a doctorate from the University of Tel Aviv. He is a lecturer in the Department of Land of Israel Studies and Archaeology in Bar Ilan University. He has worked in the University of Tel Aviv for almost 30 years.

He was awarded the Jerusalem Prize for Archaeology in 1996.

Barkai is a prominent expert in the archaeology of Jerusalem and a great part of his work is done in Jerusalem. He is responsible for one of the most important archaeological finds in the city of Jerusalem in recent decades, if not the most important – the silver amulets of Ketef Hinom. These amulets are the first, and at present the only, evidence that biblical verses were already known in the days of the First Temple.

Dr. Barkai now manages the project of filtering the dust that resulted from the excavation carried out by the Muslim Waqf in the Temple Mount.

Rabbi Steiner at oz veGaon Friday

To our dear friends,

 

Thank G-d, the tent where events are held has been set up again and on Friday, please G-d, we will host Rabbi Steiner.

Rabbi Haim Steiner studied in the Mercaz Harav Yeshiva and was a student of Rabbi Tzvi Yehuda Kook and Rabbi Avraham Shapira. Rabbi Haim Steiner, together with Rabbi Isser Klonsky, edited and published the book "A Light  unto my Path", which is a compilation of Rav Tzvi Yehuda Kook's letters. Rabbi Haim Steiner is known for his lessons on Jewish law as it pertains to the Land of Israel, the borders of the Land, commandments relating to settling the land and its conquest, religious rulings, gentiles dwelling in the Land and in Jerusalem, expelling Jews from parts of the Land in the context of peace agreements, courts, refusing military orders and evacuation of communities, the obligation to heed the religious leader of the generation and how to relate to the non-Jew.

 

On this coming Friday at 9:00 in the morning Rabbi Steiner will speak on the subject: "Under what conditions may non-Jews dwell in the Land of Israel?" (from the perspective of Jewish law)

לצערנו  במצגת של קמפיין ריבונות של נשים בירוק , הושמטו בטעות אישי ציבור שקראו להחלת הריבונות על ארץ ישראל ביניהם

אנו עוצרים זמנית את הקמפיין עד לתיקון המצגת.

 

מטרת הקמפיין לעלות את נושא ארץ ישראל והריבונות עליה לסדר היום הציבורי שלצערנו אצל רבים מהמתמודדים זה לא בסדר עדיפות עליון  ועל כן רצינו לציין את המתמודדים שהופיעו בכנסי הריבונות של נשים בירוק והתראיינו בכתב העת "ריבונות".

 

נשמח אם מועמדים נוספים יצטרפו כתומכי הריבונות. את השמות הנוספים נפרסם.

Clarification about our Sovereignty Campaign

 

Unfortunately in the short presentation that Women in Green is distributing (in Hebrew and soon in English too), by mistake a few public figures who had called for the application of Sovereignty over Erets Israel, were not mentioned- among them Deputy Minister Rabbi MK Eli ben Dahan, MK Rabbi Eli Yishai and MK Motti Yogev.

 

We are temporarily stopping the campaign till we fix the presentation.

 

The purpose of the campaign is to raise the topic of Erets Israel and Sovereignty over it on the public agenda, for unfortunately this topic is not priority number 1 by many of the candidates. In our presentation we want to present these public figures who appeared at  our Sovereignty conferences and were  interviewed in our Sovereignty journal.

 

We will gladly add additional candidates who support the application of Israeli Sovereignty over Judea and Samaria. We will publish their names too.
