בע"ה ביום שישי הקרוב י"א סיוון 29/5 בשעה 9:00 בבוקר בעוז וגאו"ן נשמע את סיפורו המרתק של שאול חלפון.
חלפון ,לוחם ביחידה 101 לצדו של אריק שרון, ידיד נפש של רפול, חבר במפלגת חירות, קבלן שבנה בעיירות הפיתוח וביהודה ושומרון, לבוש שלמה מסורתית וכיפת צמר , החוגג השבוע 80 שנה, הוא נצר למשפחה ארצישראלית ששורשיה נטועים באדמת הארץ כבר 800 שנה. אבות אבותיו עלו לארץ מספרד עוד לפני גירוש היהודים משם, והשתקעו בצפת. לאחר מאתיים שנה עברה המשפחה לחברון, ושם התגוררה עד הגירוש בפרעות תרפ"ט. משם עברו הוריו של חלפון עם שאר יהודי הקהילה ששרדו, ואביו היה ממקימי שכונת מונטיפיורי בתל אביב.

Friday at Oz veGaon with Shaul Halfon
This coming Friday May 29th at 9:00 am at oz veGaon we will hear the fascinating story of Shaul Halfon.
Halfon, fighter in the famous 101 unit of Arik Sharon, close friend of Raful, member of the Herut party, builder of houses in development towns and in Judea and Samaria, always dressed in a traditional robe "like our forefathers", was born 80 years ago to an Eretz Yisrael family with 800 years of roots in the Land. His forefathers came to the Land of Israel from Spain even before the expulsion of the Jews from there and settled in Tsfat (Safed). After 200 years his family moved to Hevron and stayed there till the Arab pogrom of 1929. From there his parents moved with the other survivors of the pogrom and his father was one of the founders of the Montefiori neighborhood in Tel Aviv.
A relentless fighter for Eretz Yisrael and for the release of Jonathan Pollard, the story of Halfon is the story of the People of Israel in the Land of Israel.
