ביום שישי הקרוב, י"ז אדר א' 26/2 ב9:00 בבוקר, נארח בע"ה בעוז וגאו"ן את ד"ר מוטי קידר, מזרחן ומרצה במחלקה לערבית באוניברסיטת בר-אילן, ועמית מחקר במרכז בגין-סאדאת למחקרים אסטרטגיים באוניברסיטת בר-אילן.
ד"ר קידר מתמחה בתקשורת ההמונים של העולם הערבי ומתראיין לערוצים ערביים דוגמת "אל-ג'זירה".
קידר משמש גם כפרשן של העיתון "מקור ראשון", ומכהן כיו"ר "מוניטור האקדמיה הישראלית",גוף העוקב אחר מרצים המוגדרים על ידיו פוסט-ציוניים במטרה לפרסם את פרסומיהם והצהרותיהם.
בראשית שנות ה-2000 העלה קידר את רעיון "שמונה האמירויות הפלסטיניות"' שהיא לדעתו הפתרון היחיד לבעיה הפלסטינית. עיקרו של רעיון זה הוא פירוק הרשות הפלסטינית והקמת שמונה אמירויות בערים הראשיות ביהודה, שומרון ועזה, על בסיס המשפחות המקומיות. על פי תוכניתו, ישראל חייבת להישאר לתמיד בשטח הכפרי של יהודה ושומרון כדי למנוע הקמת מדינה ערבית עם רצף טריטוריאלי שתהפוך למדינת טרור.

1) Friday at Oz veGaon with Dr. Moti Kedar
G-d willing, this coming Friday, February 26, the 17th of Adar 1, at Oz veGaon at 9:00am, we will host Dr. Moti Kedar, Middle East scholar and lecturer in the Department of Arabic Studies at Bar-Ilan University, and research fellow in the Begin-Sadat Center for Strategic Research at Bar-Ilan University.
Dr. Kedar's expertise is in mass media of the Arab world and he is interviewed by Arab channels such as Al-Jazeera. Kedar also serves as a commentator for the Makor Rishon newspaper, and serves as head of the Israeli Academic Monitor, which monitors lecturers whom he defines as post-Zionist, with the objective of publicizing their publications and declarations.
At the beginning of the 2000s, Kedar came up with the idea of the Eight Palestinian Emirates, which is, in his opinion, the only solution to the Palestinian problem. The central concept of the idea is to dismantle the Palestinian Authority and establish eight emirates in the main Arab cities of Judea, Samaria and Gaza, on the basis of the existing familial clans. According to his plan, Israel must forever remain in the rural area of Judea and Samaria in order to prevent the establishment of an Arab state with territorial contiguity that would eventually become a terror state.
Moti Kedar will lecture at Oz veGaon on "The New Middle East of Da'esh (ISIS)". As usual with Kedar, it is guaranteed to be quite a fascinating experience. A morning you don't want to miss!! Lecture in Hebrew with simultaneous translation to English.
