אלפים באירוע לציון שנתיים ל'עוז וגאו"ן'

בטקס מרגש ובמעמד ראש מועצת גוש עציון ובני משפחות הנערים החטופים צוין מלאת שנתיים לשמורת עוז וגאו"ן.

תחת הכותרת 'צומחים יחד בעוז וגאו"ן' ובמעמד בני משפחות שלושת הנערים החטופים וראש מועצת גוש עציון, דוידי פרל, התקיים בשמורת 'עוז וגאו"ן' שמעל צומת גוש עציון אירוע לציון שנתיים לעלייה לשמורה שהוקמה לזכרם של הנערים.

את האירוע אותו הובילה תנועת 'נשים בירוק', התנועה העומדת מאחורי העלייה לשמורה, טיפוחה והכשרתה כאתר תיירות וקמפינג, פתחה יהודית קצובר, מראשי התנועה, בסיפור ההחלטה לעלות לשמורה בלילה בו נמצאו גופות הנערים החטופים והחלום לראות את המקום שוקק חיים. קצובר ציינה שזו דרכה של הציונות, התפתחות וצמיחה מתוך כאב, אך הוסיפה כי "אפשר גם אחרת, לקטוע לאויב את התקווה ולהחיל ריבונות".

"ללא הגיבוי של העם, ההורים, המועצה, צה"ל והגופים השונים זה לא היה צולח, ועל כן באנו לומר תודה", אמרה נדיה מטר, שותפתה של קצובר להנהגת התנועה, ופרטה את רשימת הפועלים והתורמים למען האירוע ולמען ההיאחזות בת השנתיים בשמורה.

קצובר העניקה לבני משפחות הנערים מזכרת המסמלת את השמורה – ספסל קרן קיימת זעיר ובו הקדשה.

אורי יפרח, אביו של אייל הי"ד, הקריא מדברים שכתב אייל ימים אחדים טרם נחטף, ובהם התייחס לערכה של הדרך על קשיי ומכאוביה בהיותה מובילה אל היעד. "הדרך היא הערך וללא הדרך לא תגיע אל היעד. היינו שמחים לוותר על הדרך ולהגיע אל היעד, אבל אלוקים שם אותנו בדרך. צריך להבין שאם הדרך לוקחת זמן כך אלוקים רוצה. הדרך גובה קרבנות, היא קשה ומפרכת אבל היא מקרבת אל המטרה. כל מהלך בדרך יוצר חיים, וכשאתה בדרך תן את כל כולך, נצל כל רגע של חייך כאילו הוא היום האחרון שלך".

"דברים אלה", סיפר האב, "נכתבו על ידי בני אייל הי"ד ימים לפני חטיפתו כאילו ידע שנצטרך כוחות כדי לצעוד בדרך". בהמשך הדברים סיפר על אחד מביקוריו האחרונים במקום, ביקור שהחל בטרמפיאדה ממנה נחטפו הנערים והסתיים ב'עוז וגאו"ן'. "עשרות מטרים מפרידים בין שתי הנקודות, ועם זאת יש ביניהם מרחק של שנות אור", אמר והעלה על נס את הסמליות שבדרך העולה בין שתי הנקודות, הסמליות שבין אבדן ושכול לבין צמיחה פריחה, כוח, עוז וגאון, דרך ששודרגה.

את דבריו חתם בדברי תודה לראשי 'נשים בירוק', יהודית קצובר ונדיה מטר, "על פרק המדהים שהן מלמדות אותנו בדרך הנפלאה לאהבת הארץ ולעשיית מעשים נפלאים".

בת גלים שאער, אמו של גיל-עד, התייחסה לשיר 'בדמייך חיי' שהושמע באירוע וכדבריה "הפך אצלנו למציאות יומיומית, מתוך הכאב והשכול אנחנו משתדלים לצמוח אל החיים והעשייה, ויהודית ונדיה הן דוגמא לנו".

עוד הוסיפה והדגישה את ייחודיותה של שמורת 'עוז וגאו"ן' בהיותה נקודת "עשייה יומיומית תמידית ולא זיכרון ואירוע חד פעמי, "מקום שחי מתפתח ונושם בכל יום".

רחלי פרנקל, אמו של נפתלי הי"ד, קשרה בין האירוע לרצח הלל אריאל הי"ד אתמול בקריית ארבע. "קמנו הבוקר וכל מה שרצינו היה לחבק את משפחת אריאל ואת זכר דמותה של הלל, הנסיכה שאבדה לנו. שמעתי את רינה צועקת 'בדמייך חיי', והבוקר הזה הפך לשיר הלל לחיים שבוחרים לחיות כאן, לשמחה שממלאה את המקום הזה באנרגיות, בנוער נפלא ובמבקרים שמגיעים מכל העולם".

בדבריה הביעה פרנקל תקווה שנוער מהאזור ומרחבי הארץ ימשיך לנהור אל השמורה, לשמוח וליצור בה, בין השאר גם כהשלמת חלומות החופש הגדול של הלל אריאל ז"ל, חלומות שלא התגשמו.

על ההחלטה לטפח את מראה צומת גוש עציון סיפרה פרנקל ואמרה כי התחושה והמחשבה הייתה שלנוכח כל הטוב השמחה והאנרגיה שבשמורה נכון וראוי שכל זה יגלוש, כהגדרתה, גם אל הצומת שנראתה עד לא מכבר כ"אתר פלנגות", כלשונה, ולאחר טיפוחה בידי פעילי נשים בירוק ותושבים, כמו גם בידי אנשי המועצה האזורית, לאחר עיצובה מחדש ועיטורה בידי אמנים תושבי הגוש הפכה למזמינה ומקרבת.

אחרון הדוברים בטקס היה ראש מועצת גוש עציון, דוידי פרל, שקשר בין פרשת השבוע, פרשת קורח, לצמיחה וההתחדשות הנראות בפני באי השמורה. פרל הזכיר את מאמר חז"ל על שמואל הנביא שהיה צאצא לאותם בני קורח שלא מתו. "מהבור עלתה צמיחת הנבואה, התחדשות ותפילתה של חנה"

"לפני שנתיים נפער מכתש עמוק ברצח שלושת הנערים וכולנו נפלנו יחד לתהום יחד. ברוח עוז וגאון נולד המקום הזה. יצאה מכאן קריאה להתחדשות צמיחה פריחה של חיים מלאי עומק על אם הדרך בין ירושלים לחברון. במקום המסמל את הקשר לארץ הזו העמקנו שורשים, שנתיים של געגועים ואתגרים שבהם ספגנו קורבנות נוספים, שנתיים שבהן הצומת הפך לסמל של גבורה ונחישות, של אמירת העם שנעמוד על זכותנו ודרישתנו לריבונות מלאה על כל מרחבי הארץ, בזכות ולא בחסד".

את דבריו חתם דוידי בדברי תודה לפעילים, לאנשי המועצה, לקציני וחיילי חטיבת עציון, ולראשי 'נשים בירוק', יהודית קצובר ונדיה מטר "על שחוללתם בגבעה הזו. פועלכם הוסיף גאווה לאומית והוסיף לתושבי הגוש ברק לעיניים".

האירוע כולו נחתם בצעדה לנקודת התצפית שמעל צומת גוש עציון, הצומת שכאמור עבר פיתוח וטיפוח אמנותי מחדש בשבועות האחרונים. במעמד ראש המועצה האזורית נחנך במקום השביל המשודרג המקשר בין הצומת לשמורה וטופח לאחרונה. לאחר דברי ברכה נגזר סרט השביל ומאות בלוני כחול לבן הופרחו לאוויר.

Thousands came to mark the two-year commemoration of Oz veGaon

With a stirring ceremony and in the presence of the Head of Gush Etzion Council and the family members of the abducted youths for a commemoration of two years

Entitled "Growing together at Oz veGaon" and in the presence of the family members of the three abducted youths as well as Head of the Gush Etzion Council, Davidi Perl, an event was held at the Oz veGaon Nature Preserve on the hill above Gush Etzion Junction to mark two years since the founding of the nature preserve that was established in the memory of the youths.

The event, conducted by Women in green, which is behind the establishment of the preserve, its renovation, upkeep and adaptation as a site for education, tourism and camping, was opened by Yehudit Katsover, one of the heads of the movement, with the story of how the decision was made to go up to the preserve on the very night in which the bodies of the abducted youths were found and the dream to see the place bustling with life. Katsover remarked that this is the way of Zionism - development and growth out of pain, but she added that "it could also be otherwise; we could and should cut off the enemy's hope by applying Israeli sovereignty".

"Without the backing of the people, the parents, the council, the IDF and the various other bodies this would not have succeeded, and this is why we came to say 'Thank you'", said Nadia Matar, Katsover's partner in leading the movement, and listed the activists and donors who contributed to the event as well as to the two years at the preserve.

Katsover gave the family members of the youths a memento, symbolizing the preserve – a small KKL bench with a dedication.

Uri Yifrach, father of Eyal, Hy"d, read aloud words that Eyal wrote just a few days before he was abducted and murdered, in which he related to the value of having difficulties and pains on the way to achieving a goal. "The path is the value, and without the path, you will not arrive at the destination. We would be glad to do without the path, and get to the goal, but G-d put us on the path. We must understand that if the path takes time, this is the will of G-d. The path will have casualties, it is difficult and grueling but it takes us closer to the goal. Every step on the path creates life, and when you are on the path, give it your all, take advantage of every moment of your life as if it was your last day".

"These words", said the father, "were written by my son Eyal, Hy"d, a few days before his abduction, as if he knew that it would take strength in order to move forward on the way". He later told of one of his last visits at the place, a visit that began at the hitchhiking station from which the youths were abducted and ended at Oz veGaon. Dozens of meters separate between the two points, and nevertheless, there are light years between them", he said and pointed out the symbolism in the path that ascends between the two points, the symbolism between loss and bereavement and blooming growth, strength, Oz (power) and Gaon (glory), an improved path.

He sealed his words with words of thanks to the heads of Women in Green, Yehudit Katsover and Nadia Matar, "for the amazing lesson that you teach us in the wonderful path of love for the land and doing wonderful deeds".

Bat Galim Shaer, mother of Gil-Ad, related to the poem "My life is in your blood" that was heard at the event and in her words, "became for us a daily reality, from the pain and bereavement we strive to grow towards life and activity, and Yehudit and Nadia are examples for us".

She went on, emphasizing the uniqueness of Oz veGaon as being a place of daily and continual activity and not a one-time memory or event, "a living, growing and breathing place every single day".

Raheli Frenkel, mother of Naftali, Hy"d, drew a parallel with the murder of Hallel Ariel, Hy"d, on Thursday in Kiryat Arba. "We woke up in the morning and the only thing we wanted to do was to embrace the Ariel family and the memory of Hallel, our lost princess. I heard Rina cry "My life is in your blood", and this morning became a song in praise of life for those who choose to live here, of the joy that fills this place with energy, with wonderful youth and with visitors who come from all over the world".

In her words, Frenkel expressed the hope that the youth from the area and from throughout Israel will continue to stream to the preserve, to be joyful and among other things, to complete the dreams for summer vacation that Hallel Ariel, Hy"d, had; dreams that were not fulfilled.

About the decision to improve the appearance of the Gush Etzion Junction, Frenkel said that the thought was that in the presence of all the good and the joy and the energy that there is in the preserve, it is correct and suitable that all of this should spill over, as she described it, to the junction as well, which appeared, until very recently, as a phalange site, as she put it, and after its renovation by Women in Green and their supporters, as well as the local council, after its redesign and decoration by artists, residents of the Gush, it has become inviting and welcoming.

The last of the speakers was Head of Gush Etzion Council Davidi Perl, who drew a connection between the weekly Torah portion of Korah, and the growth and renewal that are apparent to all those who come to the preserve. Perl mentioned the saying about the prophet Samuel, who was a descendant of the Korah people who did not die. "From the pit, arose the flowering of prophecy, renewal and the prayer of Hanah".

"Two years ago a deep chasm was opened with the murder of the three youths and we all fell together into the abyss. With the spirit of Oz veGaon this place was born anew. A call went out from here for a renewal of growth, a flowering of life with great depth on the crossroad between Jerusalem and Hevron. In the place that symbolizes this connection we have put down deep roots, two years of yearning and challenges in which we have lost other victims, two years in which the junction became a symbol of heroism and determination, of the people saying that we will stand on our rights and our demand for full sovereignty over all of the Land of Israel, by our right and not as a gift of kindness".

Davidi Perl sealed his words with words of thanks for the activists, for the people of the council, for the officers and soldiers of the Etzion Brigade, and for the heads of Women in Green, Yehudit Katsover and Nadia Matar "for bringing about the development of this hill". Your activism has increased our national pride and has brought a sparkle to the eyes of the residents of the Gush".

The event was closed with a walk to the observation point overlooking Gush Etzion Junction, the junction that, as mentioned, has undergone renovation and new artistic decoration in recent weeks. In the presence of the Head of the Local Council, the recently improved path connecting the junction to the nature preserve, was dedicated. After words of blessing and thanks, the ribbon at the path was cut and hundreds of blue balloons were released into the air.
