*שיבה ישראלית ריבונית לרצועת עזה לאחר כתישתה של העיר היא כעת הכרח שמתברר למעגלים הולכים ומתרחבים בחברה הישראלית*. בשעה קשה זו לישראל נדרשת ההנהגה בישראל להוביל את המהלך שישיב את ישראל לשפיות ואיתנות ביטחונית.
*כתישתה של העיר עזה היא כיום צעד מוסרי מעבר להיותו אקט ביטחוני מובהק.* תושביה של עזה בחרו מרצונם החופשי בהנהגתם זו, הם מביעים בה תמיכה הולכת וגוברת ורואים בהשמדתה של ישראל את חזונם, ייעודם ושאיפתם. איש מהם אינו מציב מנהיגות חלופית או קורא תיגר על השאיפה להקמתה של 'פלשתין החופשית מהים ועד הנהר' על חורבותיה של ישראל.
גם לאותם מהעם בישראל שהדבר לא היה ברור להם עד כה, הולכת ומתחוורת המציאות בה אין בעזה כל כוונה להסתפק ביהודה ושומרון, ושאיפתם היא גורל אכזרי ורצחני לכולנו.
*כל הסתפקות בצעדי ענישה חלקיים וזמניים שאינם כוללים את כתישתה של העיר תהווה פרס לטרור והזמנה להתקפות רצחניות נוספות על אזרחי ישראל. פעילות צבאית שתכליתה רק מכה ליכולותיו הצבאיות של חמאס לא תניב תוצאה של ממש, אלא לכל היותר תשיג תקופת רגיעה קצרה נוספת שמאחוריה התעצמות לוחמי הארגון לקראת המתקפה הטרוריסטית הבאה שתהיה כואבת לא פחות*.
העובדה שבתיה ובנייניה של עזה עדיין עומדים על תילם היא פגם מוסרי קשה ומביש הלועג ללוחמים ומחלל את קדושת הנרצחים הי"ד.
*עלינו להכות בעיר, בתושביה ובמתקניה, לרוקן אותה מתומכי הטרור שבה ולהשיב אליה את שלטון ישראל*.
אתם, מנהיגי ישראל, שנבחרתם לעמוד בראש המדינה בשעתה הקשה הזו, נדרשים לעוז רוח, לאומץ לב ולתבונה. בעזרתם ובעזרת ה' להשיב לעם ישראל את זקיפות קומתו הלאומית ואת ביטחונו האישי והכללי.

*The Israeli sovereign return to the Gaza Strip after crushing the city of Gaza is now a necessity that is becoming clear to ever-growing circles in Israeli society*. In this difficult hour for Israel, the leadership in Israel must spearhead the effort that will restore Israel to sanity and security resoluteness.
*Crushing Gaza, beyond being a clear security action, is today a moral imperative*. The inhabitants of Gaza have freely chosen this leadership. They express consistently growing support for it and view the destruction of Israel as their vision, their destiny, and their aspiration. None of them proposes an alternative leadership or challenges the aspiration to establish a "Free Palestine from the Sea to the River" upon the ruins of Israel.
Even those in Israeli society for whom this was not clear until now, the reality is becoming more and more evident that Gaza has no intention to settle for Judea and Samaria, and their aspiration entails a cruel and murderous fate for all of us.
*Sufficing with any partial and temporary punitive measures that do not include the crushing of the city will constitute a reward for terrorism and invite further murderous attacks on Israeli civilians. Military activity aimed solely at weakening Hamas' military capabilities will not yield real results but at most will achieve a short-term period of calm, after which the organization's soldiers will strengthen themselves for the next terrorist attack that will be no less painful*.
The fact that the homes and buildings in Gaza are still standing is a serious moral shortcoming that mocks the soldiers and desecrates the sanctity of the murdered hy"d.
*We must strike at the city, its residents, and its facilities, rid it of the terrorists in it, and restore Israeli rule over it*.
You, the leaders of Israel, who were elected to lead the country in this difficult hour, must display fortitude, courage and wisdom. With their help and with the help of the Lord, you will restore to the people of Israel their pride and their personal and collective security.
