הבהרה לתומכינו ושותפינו היקרים

משבר עמונה הוביל אותנו לדיונים פנימיים מורכבים סביב שאלת העיתוי הראוי למבצע גיוס המונים, מבצע הכפלת חיזוק שמורת 'עוז וגאו"ן' שהתחיל לפני כמה ימים ומתוכנן להגיע לשיא ב30 השעות האחרונות ביום שלישי הקרוב כ' כסלו ל30 שעות עד יום רביעי בחצות.

היו שסברו כי רגעי משבר וכאב שכאלה אינן השעה הראויה למהלך שכזה. מנגד, בפניות שהגיעו אלינו טענו תומכים ומחזקים הצועדים איתנו כברת דרך ארוכה בחיזוק האחיזה ההתיישבות בארץ ישראל, כי זו בדיוק השעה לחזק ולהתחזק בנקודות התיישבות אחרות ברחבי הארץ, ועל כן לא רק שאין מקום לבטל את גיוס הכספים לשמורה, אלא להיפך, עלינו לחזק את הקריאה ולהבהיר כי על אף הכאב בעקבות אירועי עמונה, מבצע ההכפלה יתקיים בע"ה וביתר עוז ולהוכיח שאת המנגינה היהודית-ציונית הזו אי אפשר להפסיק.

ידוע מאמר חז"ל המדמה את התקדמות הגאולה לצעדי ריצתו של האייל שלעתים הוא נכסה ולעתים הוא נגלה. בימים אלו של משבר עמונה, ימי כיסוי, ומתוך הערכה רבה לעמידתם של תושבי עמונה על ערכי היאחזות בארץ ישראל, אנו מצווים להמשיך ולחזק את ההתיישבות בנקודות אחרות, ביתר שאת דווקא בימים אלה, לחזק את הצעדים הגלויים של גאולת ישראל.

עם בוא החורף אנו בשמורת 'עוז וגאו"ן, ניצבים מול אתגרים לא פשוטים.

* הסערה הראשונה שעברה עלינו בימים האחרונים רמזה על האתגרים הללו עם קריסת חלק ממערכת החשמל שבשמורה. עוד הוכחה עד כמה נחוץ הגנרטור שברצוננו לרכוש.

* לכידתה ביום שני של חוליית הטרור מבית פאג'ר, הסמוך לעוז וגאו"ן, חולייה על תכנון פיגועים נגד מגדל עוז ועוז וגאו"ן, מחזקת את הבנת הערך הביטחוני של חיזוק הנוכחות היהודית בשמורה והצורך בהצבת מצלמות אבטחה, השלמת תאורת ביטחון, שיפוץ השבילים על מנת לאפשר נסיעה בטוחה לרכבים ולג'יפים של כוחות הביטחון ורכישת מכלית כיבוי אש להתמודדות עם טרור ההצתות הערבי.

A Clarification to our Dear Supporters and Partners

The Amona crisis has led us to internal deliberations on the question of the appropriate timing for the crowd funding campaign to strengthen Oz veGaon that started a few days ago and is scheduled to come at its peak for the last 30 hours from Tuesday December 20th till Wednesday December 21st at midnight..

There were those who thought that during such moments of crisis and pain it is maybe not the right time for such an activity. On the other hand, there were also supporters of the process, people who have been staunch advocates of reinforcing our hold on the Land of Israel, who told us that this is precisely the time to encourage others and strengthen ourselves in other communities throughout the Land. And therefore, not only should the crowdfunding campaign to raise funds for the preserve not be cancelled – on the contrary, we must strengthen the call and make it clear that despite the pain related to the Amona events , the campaign to double contributions will be held, G-d willing, and with even more energy to prove that it is impossible to stop this Zionist-Jewish tune.

We refer to the well-known saying of the sages, which likens the progress toward the Redemption to watching the ram as he runs, as sometimes he is hidden and sometimes revealed. These days of the Amona crisis, when progress seems hidden and out of great respect and admiration for the residents of Amona who stand for the values of holding onto the Land of Israel, we are commanded to strengthen the different outposts of Judea and Samaria in other locations even more energetically especially these days, to reinforce those steps that are revealed in the process of Israel's Redemption.

With the approach of winter, we at the Oz veGaon preserve, are faced with difficult challenges.

· The first storm, which we experienced just lately, has given us a hint of these challenges with the stoppage of the electricity at part of the preserve. Another proof of how necessary it is to have the generator that we wish to acquire.

· The recent arrest this past Monday of a terror gang from Beit Fajjar, the Arab village neighboring Oz veGaon, a gang responsible for planning attacks against Migdal Oz and Oz veGaon, reinforces our understanding of the security value to strengthen the Jewish presence in the place and the need setting up security cameras, completing the security lighting project, improving the paths to enable safe passage for security vehicles and jeeps and the acquisition of a water tanker for extinguishing fires to be able to cope with Arab arson terror.

This campaign which we are holding is an "all or nothing" campaign. The clock is ticking. By Wednesday, the 21^st of Kislev, December 21^st, by midnight, we must arrive at our target… with G-d's help, together with you, we will act and we will succeed!

ביום שישי הקרוב בע"ה ט"ז כסלו 16/12 בשעה 9:00 בבוקר נארח את ידידנו ג'ף דאובה.

ג'ף דאובה, יו"ר ארגון "בסיס חוקי" ומי שמכהן גם כנשיא ארגון ציוני אמריקה בארץ, מחלק את זמנו בין ארה"ב לישראל. כאן ושם הוא מקיים מפגשים אינסופיים עם פרלמנטארים, מדינאים ודיפלומטים ומציג בפניהם אמת היסטורית ומדינית שעד השנים האחרונות הייתה מושתקת ומוסתרת.

"המטרה שלי בהקמת "בסיס חוקי" היא לשכנע ולעודד את המנהיגות שלנו להתחיל לדבר בקול רם, ולא ללחוש, על הזכויות שלנו ביו"ש" הוא אומר.

Friday at Oz veGaon with Jeff Daube – IN ENGLISH!

This coming Friday , please G-d, December 16^th at 9:00 am at Oz veGaon we will have the pleasure to hear our good friend Jeff Daube.

Jeff Daube, chair of the "Legal Grounds" organization and who also serves as director of the Israel office of the ZOA, divides his time between the US and Israel. Both here and there he holds innumerable meetings with parliamentarians, statesmen and diplomats and presents them with the historical and political truth about Israel, which, until recently, was silenced and hidden.

"My objective in establishing Legal Grounds is to convince our leaders and encourage them to begin speaking aloud, and not in a whisper, about our rights in Judea and Samaria" he says.

כידוע לכם, פרויקט הדגל שלנו היום בתקופה זו הוא שמורת עוז וגאו"ן, המקום אליו עלינו ואותו הקמנו ביער שבלב גוש עציון כתשובה ציונית לרצח של שלושת הבנים החטופים אייל, גיל-עד ונפתלי הי"ד. הפכנו את המקום לאתר חינוכי-תיירותי שוקק חיים יהודיים אליו מגיעים אלפי מבקרים, מבוגרים ובני נוער, לבקר, לעבוד את האדמה, להתמלא ברוח ציונית מעשית ובאהבת העם והארץ. המקום מביא שמחה ואור רב לישובים שמסביב, שמחה של המשך יצירה ואחיזה.

בהיותה מוקפת כפרים ערבים עויינים, שמורת עוז וגאו"ן מביאה ביטחון לאזור בזכות הנוכחות היהודית המתמדת בלב גוש עציון. הפעילות הרציפה של הרצאות שבועיות, בית מדרש תוסס וחי, תפילות שבת, הרצאות לנוער, פינה לחיילים, נוכחות החיילים והמשפחות באוהלים שבמקום - כל זה חייב להמשיך וביתר עוז.

Together we will double the Oz veGaon light

Dear friends

We are sending this special and personal email to you as long time partners with Women in Green .

Together with you we have succeeded over the years to hold on to many different places in Eretz Yisrael -
Netzer, Shdema, Adurayim, Eitam and now Oz veGaon. Our activity has kept the flame of the struggle for Eretz Yisrael after the horrendous expulsion from Gush Katif and Northern Shomron and continues till now.

Together with you we breathed life into the political wilderness and led the campaign promoting the political process that is now the leading plan of the national camp in Israel – the vision of the application of Israeli Sovereignty over Judea and Samaria.

As you know, our latest project on the ground is Oz veGaon, the place we set up in a forest in the heart of Gush Etsion as a Zionist response to the murder by Arab terrorists of the 3 abducted boys Gil-Ad, Eyal and Naftali hy"d. We have turned the place into an active educational-tourist center bustling with Jewish life, with thousands of adults and youth who come , visit, work the land and get imbued with Zionism and love of the Land and the People of Israel. The place brings a lot of joy and strength to the surrounding communities.

Surrounded by hostile Arab villages Oz veGaon has brought security to the area by creating a constant Jewish presence in the heart of Gush Etsion. The ongoing activities in Oz veGaon of weekly lectures, the new Bet Midrash with tens of students, tefillot every Shabbat, study groups for youth, the presence of soldiers and families living in tents, the soldiers' corner ; all that must continue. But as the harsh winter in the Judean mountains approaches, we encounter many challenges.

In order to be able to continue all our activities we urgently need

1) a reliable generator to cope with the many power outages;

2) security camera's,

3) additional security lighting

4) repairing of all the paths to enable the cars and army jeeps to drive safely in and around the forest

5) a water tanker to be able to deal with the latest wave of Arab terror by arson

As the end of the tax year approaches, we invite you to join us to become a partner in this project.
Partners in doing good; in continuing the vision of our stronghold to Eretz Yisrael and enabling to continue and bring to Oz veGaon more and more groups of youth, pre-military academies, seminars and yeshivot so that they will be imbued with Zionism and love of the Land and the People.

זוכרים את עזרא שוורץ הי"ד – צומחים מתוך הכאב

אתמול צוין בעוז וגאו"ן שנה להרצחו של הנער עזרא שוורץ הי"ד.

עזרא הי"ד הגיע במסגרת תוכנית מיוחדת של ישיבת "אשרינו" מבית שמש לשנת לימודים בארץ ישראל מתוך רצון לתרום לארץ ישראל. המניע החזק להגעתו היה רצח שלושת הנערים – גיל-עד,אייל ונפתלי הי"ד. האירוע זעזע את נשמתו הצעירה והחליט בעקבות זאת להגיע לארץ ישראל. ישיבת אשרינו קיימה מדי שבוע הסעה לעוז וגאו"ן, והנערים וביניהם עזרא הי"ד, עבדו בשמורה ונקשרו אליה.

לפני שנה בדיוק, עזרא וחבריו היו באוטובוס בדרך להתנדב, כמדי שבוע, בעוז וגאו"ן.

כאשר הגיעו קרוב לצומת גוש עציון נפתחה אש מחבלים לעבר המיניבוס ועזרא שוורץ הי"ד נרצח. בפיגוע זה נרצחו 3, עזרא שוורץ הי"ד, המורה האהוב יעקב דון הי"ד ונוסע ערבי.

אתמול צוין יום השנה לרצח באירועים שונים בעוז וגאו"ן: ראו תמונות מצורפות:
* בבוקר הגיעו תלמידי ישיבת אשרינו לזכור, להתפלל, לשיר ואז הפשילו שרוולים ועבדו את האדמה בהדרכת אלישיב קמחי וצורי בוטוש.
* אחר הצהריים קיימה רוקי ברודי, חברה של משפחת שוורץ, טקס זיכרון מרגש בעוז וגאו"ן בהשתתפות קרובי משפחה וממלא מקום ראש המועצה משה סביל.

ושוב בני הנוער שהגיעו לטקס הזיכרון הפשילו שרוולים והקימו את גינת עוז עזרא.

בבניין ארץ ישראל ננוחם.

Remembering Ezra Schwartz hy"d – Growing from the pain

Yesterday was the yahrtzeit (one year commemoration) of the murder of Ezra Schwartz hy"d .

Ezra arrived in Israel as part of a special program by yeshivat "Ashreinu" for a year of learning in Eretz Yisrael in order to contribute to the Land of Israel. One of the strong motives that motivated Ezra to come to Israel was the abduction and murder of the three boys Gil-Ad, Eyal and Naftali hy"d. Ezra's was shaken by this event to the bottom of his soul and subsequently came to Israel. Every week the Ashreinu yeshiva organized transportation and brought the boys to Oz veGaon to work the land. Ezra was among them and they all connected deeply to the place.

Exactly a year ago, Ezra and his friends from the Ashreinu yeshiva were on a bus on their way to volunteer at Oz veGaon, like every week, when Arab terrorists arrived, shot at different cars and murdered 3; Ezra Schwartz hy"d, the beloved teacher Yaakov Don hy"d and an Arab driver.

A few events in memory of Ezra h"d were marked at Oz veGaon yesterday (see pictures):
*in the morning the Ashreinu yeshiva headed by Rabbi Yudin came to pray, sing, remember and then rolled up their sleeves to work the land under the guidance of Elyashiv Kimche and Tsuri Botosh.
* In the afternoon , Rocky Brody, friend of the Schwartzes, organized a beautiful and meaningful ceremony in memory of Ezra hy"d and a dedication of the Oz Ezra Garden. Speakers included family members, friends and the Gush Etsion acting mayor Moshe Savil. Once again, after the speeches, the youth rolled up their sleeves and inaugurated the Oz Ezra garden in Oz veGaon.
