פרופ' אריה מורגנשטרן, היסטוריון של תולדות היישוב היהודי בארץ ישראל, חוקר התנועות המשיחיות והזיקה שבין העם היהודי וארץ ישראל במאה ה18 וה19, מבקש להוכיח כי הלאומיות היהודית לא נוצרה עם העליות של המאה ה19, אלא חלק אינטגראלי של המחשבה היהודית.
פרופ' מורגנשטרן חוקר שלא הולך בתלם האקדמיה השמאלית ,מבסס את מחקריו על חומר ארכיוני, שלא היה ידוע, מברית המועצות, אמסטרדם ומארכיוני המיסיון.
פרופ' מורגנשטרן ידבר בשדמה בע"ה ביום שישי הקרוב, כ' תמוז, 28.6 בשעה 9:00 בבוקר על עליית תלמידי הגר"א.
