שישי ושבת שנייה בגבעת עוז וגאו"ן
חברים יקרים,
שבוע נוסף עבר בגבעת עוז וגאו"ן. בזכות אוהבי ארץ ישראל הרבים הזורמים לגבעה כדי לעבוד ולפתח אותה התפתחה הגבעה מאד. הוכנו עוד שטחים . עוד ועוד שולחנות נבנו . פרגולה גדולה הוצבה ברחבה. הנוכחות היהודית במקום מתייצבת ומתגברת ב"ה.
כרגע אנו מתכוננים לשישי ושבת. להלן הפרטים:
היום יום שישי בשעה 9:00 תתקיים בע"ה הרצאתו של המדריך הוותיק אריה רוטנברג שיתן הרצאה מרתקת על ההיסטוריה של גבעת עוז וגאו"ן והאזור .
שבת
שבת בגבעת עוז וגאו"ן היא שבת שטח לחלוטין. על כל אחד ואחד להביא את כל הציוד שלו- אוהל, שקי שינה, אוכל, שתייה, צלחות, סכו"ם. הכל מא' עד ת'. אין אפשרות לחבר פלטה חשמלית ואין מקרר. הגנרטורים משמשים אך ורק לתאורה.
במקום יש עירוב, שירותים ומים לנטילת ידיים. כמוכן , יש מבנה אחד, לא גדול במיוחד, המשמש אותנו בעת האזעקות ושיכול להכיל עד 30 איש.
השמירה נעשית ע"י בחורים שלנו וכל מי שמגיע לגבעה עם נשק מתבקש ליטול חלק בשמירה, גם ביום וגם בלילה.

ניתן להגיע לגבעה:
· מצומת גוש עציון -עולים על השביל המוליך ישירות מהצומת לגבעה ומשם 300 מטר למתחם
· דרך קיבוץ מגדל עוז בשעות מסוימות ורק בשעות אלה:
- בליל שבת ניתן יהיה להגיע דרך הקיבוץ רק לחצי שעה (פרטים בטלפון 050-5500834)
- יום שבת ניתן יהיה להגיע דרך הקיבוץ

חשוב מאד לא לצעוד לבד אלא בקבוצות. זה חשוב עוד יותר בשעות החשיכה.

ברצוננו להודות לכל השותפים והתורמים והתומכים שבזכותם אנו יכולים להתקיים ולהתפתח בגבעה.

Friday and Shabbat at Giv'at Oz and Ga'on
Dear Friends,
Another week has passed at Giv'at Oz and Ga'on. Thanks to the many people whose love of the Land of Israel brought them to stream into the Hill (Giv'at Oz and Ga'on) to work and develop it, the Hill has developed significantly. Additional areas have been prepared. More and more tables have been built. A large wooden pergola has been erected in the area. Thank G-d, the Jewish presence in the site is steadily growing and becoming more continuous.
At the moment we are preparing for Friday and Shabbat. Below are the details:
Today, Friday at 9:00, G-d willing, experienced tour guide Aryeh Rottenberg will give a fascinating lecture on the history of Giv'at Oz and Ga'on and the area.
Shabbat
Shabbat in Giv'at Oz and Ga'on is totally in the field. Everyone must bring his own equipment - tent, sleeping bags, food, drinks, plates, flatware. Everything from A to Z. Electricity will not be available for an electric heating platter or a refrigerator. The electricity we get from our generators are solely for the use of the light.
There is an eruv, toilets and water for washing hands at the site.
There is one building, not especially large, that serves us as a shelter when there is a security alert. It can hold around 30 people, not more.
Guard duty is done by youths and anyone how comes to the Hill with a weapon is requested to take part in the guard duty, during the day as well as at night.

Directions:
G-d willing, there will be an eruv both from Migdal Oz and from the Gush Etzion Junction. To confirm, please call us at 050-5500834 before Shabbat
To come to the Hill:
· From Gush Etzion Junction- ascend on the path that leads straight from the Junction to the Hill and from there it is another 300 meters to the compound
· Via Kibbutz Migdal Oz at certain hours:
On Shabbat evening it will be possible to come via the kibbutz only for a half hour (for details please call or text 050-5500834 closer to Shabbat)
On Shabbat during the day you can come via the kibbutz
From 8:00 until 12:30
From 17:00 until 21:00
Make sure to only come during these hours for the gate is closed at other hours.
Instructions for walking and security:
Religious ruling by Rabbi Baruch Efrati for carrying a mobile telephone to those who come on foot:
I affirm halachically (by religious ruling) that everyone who comes to the outpost by foot during the hours of darkness or close to the hours of darkness is required to carry with him a mobile telephone that is functional and ready for use

It is very important not to walk alone, but only in groups. This is even more important during the hours of darkness.
Below are pictures of life in Giv'at Oz and Ga'on that was established two weeks ago in memory of our three sons Gil-ad, Ayal and Naftali, may G-d avenge their blood. Giv'at Oz and Ga'on is situated above Gush Etzion Junction, in the forest on the way to Kibbutz Migdal Oz.
We would like to thank all of the participants and donors who, thanks to them, made it possible to establish and develop the Hill.
