שרת התרבות והספורט, מירי רגב, ביקרה היום (שלישי) בגוש עציון.
את ביקורה ליווו ראש מועצת גוש עציון, דוידי פרל וסגנו משה סוויל.
במהלך הביקור הגיעה השרה רגב גם לשמורת 'עוז וגאו"ן' שהוקמה מעל צומת הגוש, שם התקבלה על ידי ראשי תנועת 'נשים בירוק', יהודית קצובר ונדיה מטר ועימן עשרות פעילות של התנועה.
בדברים שנשאה התייחסה רגב להתמודדות הראויה מול מתקפות הטרור וקבעה כי "הריבונות היא התשובה הציונית לטרור - וגם בלי טרור צריך להטמיע את הריבונות כי ארץ ישראל שייכת לעם ישראל".
עוד הוסיפה השרה ואמרה, "כל בוקר אנו קמים להתקפת טרור איסלמית חדשה באורלנדו, בפאריס ועוד. הם בחרו בדת המוות ואנו בוחרים בחיים לאומיים בארץ ישראל".
בין דברי התודה והברכה שנשאו הודו ראשי 'נשים בירוק' לרגב "על הרפורמה האדירה והצודקת שעושה משרדה בהתיישבות ובפריפריה".
בשיחתן עם השרה תיארו קצובר ומטר את פעילויות התרבות שהתקיימו במרוצת 11 השנים האחרונות, מאז הגירוש מגוש קטיף, במספר נקודות היאחזות התיישבותיות חקלאיות ותיירותיות ובהן שדמה, נצר, עיטם, אדוריים ו'עוז וגאו"ן'.
רגב הגיבה לדברים בהבטחה להמשיך ולפעול למען החלת הריבונות - וכצעד ראשון בגוש עציון. זאת בהמשך להחלטה ההיסטורית שאותה העבירה בכנסת ולפיה כל סוגיה הנוגעת ליהודה ושומרון תידון בוועדה הרלוונטית ולא בוועדת משנה של ועדת חוץ וביטחון.

Regev: The Zionist response to terror – Sovereignty

During her visit to the Oz veGaon Nature Preserve, Minister Miri Regev stated that "Sovereignty is the Zionist response to terror, and even if there is no terror we must implement sovereignty because the Land of Israel belongs to the People of Israel".
Minister of Culture and Sport Miri Regev visited Gush Etzion today.
She was accompanied during her visit by the Head of Gush Etzion Council, Davidi Perl and his deputy, Moshe Savile.
During her visit, Minister Regev also came to the Oz veGaon Nature Preserve, which was established on the hill near Gush Etzion Junction, where she was welcomed by the heads of Women in Green, Yehudit Katsover and Nadia Matar, along with dozens of the movement's activists. Among the things that she said, Regev related to the appropriate way to cope with terror attacks and stated that "Sovereignty is the Zionist response to terror, and even if there is no terror, we must implement sovereignty because the Land of Israel belongs to the People of Israel".
The minister also added that: "Each morning we wake up to a new Islamist terror attack in Orlando, in Paris and other places. They have chosen a religion of death and we choose national life in the Land of Israel".
Among the words of thanks and blessings that were said, the heads of Women in Green thanked Regev for the great and just reform that her ministry is performing in the Jewish communities of Judea and Samaria and in the periphery".
In their conversation with the minister, Katsover and Matar described the cultural activities that have been held during the past 11 years, since the expulsion from Gush Katif, in a number of settlement outposts in Judea, among which are Shdema, Netzer, Eitam, Adorayim and Oz veGaon – places that have been redeemed and a Jewish presence has returned to thanks to the educational, agricultural and tourist activity of Women in Green.
The two women focused on the importance of promoting the vision of the application of Israeli sovereignty in Judea and Samaria. Regev responded to these words with a promise to continue acting towards application of sovereignty, and as a first step, in Gush Etzion. This a continuation of the historic decision that the Knesset passed, according to which every matter relating to Judea and Samaria will be dealt with in the relevant committee and not in a sub-committee of the Knesset Committee for Foreign Affairs and Defense.
The minister's words were received with great enthusiasm by those present, who thanked her for her courage and activism.
