כהמשך לקמפיין לקידום החלת ריבונות ישראל על בקעת הירדן, חברה תנועת הריבונות למועצת בקעת הירדן, תנועת Israel is Forever, תנועת רגבים, תנועת AFSI ה-ZOA, וארגון Save The West לאירוע משותף מיוחד תחת הכותרת 'מדליקים ריבונות על בקעת הירדן', שישודר אינטרנטית ביום חמישי בערב, נר ראשון של חנוכה.
באירוע, שיצולם סמוך לסרטבה הצופה אל בקעת הירדן, יתקיים שיח בהובלת העיתונאית אמילי עמרוסי בהשתתפות ח"כ מיקי זוהר יו"ר הקואליציה, האלוף במיל' וסגן הרמטכ"ל בעבר חבר הכנסת עוזי דיין, האלוף במיל' גרשון הכהן וראש מועצת בקעת הירדן דוד אלחיאני. הפאנל יעסוק בעתיד בקעת הירדן.
במהלך האירוע יוצגו דבריהם המצולמים של חברי כנסת ושרים הקוראים להחלת ריבונות ישראלית בבקעת הירדן. בשידור ייחשפו גם נתוניו של סקר מיוחד שבחן את עמדת הציבור היהודי בישראל על מהלך החלת הריבונות בבקעה, גם מול התנגדות פלשתינית.

"התמיכה בריבונות על הבקעה גורפת. אין כל סיבה שההנהגה בישראל לא תנקוט בצעד המוסכם והחשוב הזה, תקבע את גבולה המזרחי של מדינת ישראל, תלכד את העם ותניף מחדש את דגל השאיפה הציונית לריבונות. ניתן וחשוב לעשות זאת כעת".
Announcement- Lighting Sovereignty over the Jordan Valley
As a continuation of the campaign to promote Israeli sovereignty over the Jordan Valley, the Sovereignty Movement has joined together with Jordan Valley Council, Israel is Forever , Regavim, AFSI (Americans for a Safe Israel) , ZOA (Zionist Organization of America) and "Save the West" for a special joint event entitled "Lighting Sovereignty over the Jordan Valley", which will be broadcast by Internet and on Arutz 7 and FB on Thursday at 3:30pm, the first candle of Hanukah.
The event, which will be held close to the Sartaba Fortress overlooking the Jordan Valley, will feature a panel led by famous journalist Emily Amrousi with participants including, Coalition Chairman MK Miki Zohar, Gen. (res.) , former Deputy Chief of Staff MK Uzi Dayan and Gen. (res.) Gershon Hacohen and the head of Jordan Valley Council David Elhayani. The panel will deal with Sovereignty and the future of the Jordan Valley.
Video clips by members of Knesset, ministers and public figures who call for the immediate application of Israeli sovereignty over the Jordan Valley will be presented. Also during the broadcast, data from a special survey will be presented, which investigated the position of the Jewish population in Israel on the application of sovereignty in the Valley, even in the presence of Palestinian opposition.
Historian Dr. Gershon Bar Kochba will give a fascinating lecture on Jewish acts of heroism in the Jordan Valley over the generations.
The rabbi of Safed, Rav Shmuel Eliahu, will have the honor of lighting the first candle of Hanukah and the event will be accompanied by the music of Noam Jacobson and his band.
Simultaneous translation of the event into English will be done by Yishai Fleisher.
The co-chairwomen of the Sovereignty Movement, Yehudit Katsover and Nadia Matar, who are leading the event's production, together with Atty. Nili Naouri of Israel is Forever stress that the application of sovereignty over the Jordan Valley enjoys broad national consensus that includes members of Knesset and ministers in almost all factions in the Knesset. "The support for sovereignty over the Valley is sweeping . There is no reason why the Israeli leadership should not to take this important and widely-accepted step, determine the eastern border of the State of Israel, unify the people and wave anew the banner of the Zionist aspiration for sovereignty. It is possible and important to do this now".
