ביום א' הקרוב, ד' שבט, 17/1 בשעה 19:00 נזכה בע"ה לשמוע הרצאת זום מרתקת בעברית מפי פרופ' חיים גבירצמן.
פרופסור חיים גבירצמן, תושב דולב, הוא הידרולוג בכיר, חבר בסגל המרצים במכון למדעי כדור הארץ באוניברסיטה העברית. אחד ממומחי המים המובילים בישראל.
פרופסור גבירצמן כיהן בעבר כדירקטור בחברת מקורות, ובשמונה השנים האחרונות היה חבר במועצת רשות המים. במשך תקופה ארוכה שימש כיועץ לוועדת המים המשותפת לישראל ולפלשתינים,
היה חבר במליאת רשות הטבע והגנים, וזכה בשורה ארוכה של פרסי הצטיינות על הישגיו. הוא נחשב לאוטוריטה בתחום, וספרו "משאבי המים בישראל" הוא ספר יסוד בלימודי הידרולוגיה בישראל.
נושא ההרצאה: בלי מים אין חיים- המים בארץ ובעולם.

Oz veGaon Lecture on Zoom: with Professor Haim Gvirtzman
Dear friends
G-d willing, this coming Sunday, the 4th of Shevat, January 17th, at 7:00 pm Israel time, we will have the privilege of hearing a fascinating Zoom lecture in Hebrew by Prof. Haim Gvirtzman.
Professor Haim Gvirtzman, a resident of Dolev, is a prominent hydrologist and member of the faculty at the Institute of Earth Sciences at the Hebrew University. He is one of the most prominent experts in the field of hydrology in Israel. In the past, Professor Gvirtzman has served as Director of Mekorot, and for the past eight years has been a member of the Water Authority Council. He served for a long time as a consultant to the Joint Water Committee for Israel and the Palestinians. He was a member of the Israel Nature and Parks Authority council and has won many prizes for excellence on account of his achievements. He is considered an authority in the field and his book, "Water Resources in Israel", is a foundational book for the study of hydrology in Israel.

We ask for a contribution of 100 NIS or $30 for the entire lecture series, to help cover our costs.
Whoever registers for the series, will also receive the links to the recorded lectures, which have already taken place this year.
