מכתב פומבי לנוער ריבונות

*נוער ריבונות יקר ואהוב*
הימים העוברים על עם ישראל הם ימים קשים. הטרור מרים ראש, המשילות הישראלית הולכת ומתכרסמת, לחצים בינלאומיים מופעלים על ישראל, בעוד נראה שידיה של המנהיגות אזוקות באזיקים פוליטיים כבדים.
המאבק ברוע מחייב בראש ובראשונה הצבת ייעוד וחזון המפיחים תקווה המאפשרת לאדם להתבונן קדימה אל מעבר לקושי ולהתגבר על הרוע ועל ייסורי הדרך המובילה בסופה אל המטרה.
ייסורים וקשיים הבאים על האדם הפרטי מרוממים ומעוררים אותו. כך גם בחייה של אומה. הייסורים הכואבים מחשלים את רוחה של האומה ותובעים ממנה לברר את תכליתה וייעודה.
הבירור קשה לא פעם ונוקב, אך הוא הכרחי לקראת המשך דרכה של האומה אל מטרתה. התכלית והייעוד מפיחים בעם תקווה ואמונה ועם שני כלים אלה אין ספק שהעם יגיע נחוש, מחושל ומאמין אל ייעודו.
ארץ ישראל נקנית בייסורים, לימדו אותנו חז"ל וייסורים אלה מקרבים אותנו אל התכלית שנקבעה לנו בהבטחה הא-לוהית "והורשתם אותה".
הרמב"ן מבאר את משמעותה של הורשת הארץ וקובע כי חובתנו היא ש"לא נעזבה ביד (שלטון) זולתנו מן האומות או לשממה", *משמעות ההורשה היא ריבונות*.
חובה וזכות היא לנו, בני הדור הזה, מדברי התורה לקומם בארץ ישראל ריבונות לאומית.
התחלנו במהלך זה בשנת תש"ח, הרחבנו את המהלך במלחמת ששת הימים, אך עדיין לא השלמנו את המצווה במלואה.
מצוות ירושת הארץ הופכת אותנו מיחידים לציבור, מפרטים לאומה ולעם. היחיד אינו יכול לקיים את מצוות 'והורשתם'.
מצווה זו מוטלת על העם כולו ועל מנהיגיו. כל עוד היא אינה מושלמת עולה טענת האויב שכאילו גזלנו את הארץ מידיהם, ואם גזלנים אנחנו בעיניהם אך טבעי והגיוני לפעול בכל דרך כדי לגרש את הגזלן ולהשיב את הגזלה. בראיית המוסלמי המאמין בכך ש'דין מוחמד בסיף' בחודש הרמאדן מתגברת חובת המאבק על השבת הגזלה, גם על ידי החרב.
*כאשר איננו מחילים את ריבונותנו על כל מרחבי הארץ שהובטחה לנו, אנו מעוררים באויב תקווה להשיג את חלומו לגרשנו מארצנו. אזלת היד הריבונית של ההנהגה בישראל מפיחה תקווה שהנה עוד לחץ נוסף של טרור ואנו מתקפלים, נסוגים ומוותרים על ארץ חיינו.*
זו השעה לשוב ולקרוא לממשלת ישראל לקיים את חובת ירושת הארץ.
תנועתנו, תנועת הריבונות, קוראת לראש הממשלה ושריו, הורישו את הארץ - החילו את הריבונות ובכך תגשימו את החלום הציוני, תמחקו את חלומם של מובילי הטרור ותפיחו בעם ישראל בשורה מחודשת של חלוציות וציונות מתוך עוצמה אמיתית.
עלה נעלה וירשנו אותה!

An Open Letter to the Sovereignty Youth
*"A People that raises itself like a lion..."*
*To our dear and beloved Sovereignty Youth,*
The people of Israel are undergoing difficult times.
Terrorism is resurfacing, Israeli governance is continually eroding, and international pressure is being exerted on Israel, while the leadership's hands appear to be bound with heavy political shackles.
The struggle against evil requires, first and foremost, establishment of a mission and vision, inspiring hope that enables one to look ahead and see beyond the present difficulties and overcome the evil and suffering that one encounters on the path that ultimately leads to the goal.
Suffering and difficulty that an individual undergoes elevate and rouse him.
The same is true in the life of a nation. The painful suffering toughens the spirit of the nation and demands that it clarify its purpose and its destiny.
This clarification is difficult and sharp, but it is crucial in enabling the nation to continue along the path to achieve its objective.
Purpose and destiny inspire in the people hope and faith, and with these two tools, there is no doubt that the people will reach its destiny determined, tough, and imbued with belief.
The Sages taught us that the Land of Israel is acquired through suffering, and that suffering draws us nearer to the objective that was established for us in the divine promise: "You shall take possession of it" (Bemidbar 33:53).
Ramban explains the meaning of 'taking possession' of the Land, and determines that our obligation is, "Not to leave it in the hands (control) of any nation other than ourselves or to desolation."
*The meaning of 'possession' is sovereignty.*
It is the obligation and the right of this generation, based on the words of the Torah, to establish national sovereignty in the Land of Israel.
We began this process in 1948, expanded upon the process in the Six Day War, but we have not yet completely fulfilled the mitzva.
The mitzva to take possession of the land transforms us from individuals to a community, a nation and a people.
The individual cannot fulfill the mitzva of "taking possession." This mitzva is incumbent upon the entire people and its leaders.
As long as it remains incomplete, the enemy's claim that we robbed the land from them is raised. If we are robbers in their eyes, they take any action to banish the robber and recover the plunder. In the view of the Muslim who believes that "the justice of Muhammad is with the sword," in the month of Ramadan, the obligation intensifies to make every effort to recover the plunder by means of the sword as well.
*When we fail to apply our Jewish sovereignty in all parts of the Land that was promised to us, we inspire hope in the Arab enemy to realize their dream of expelling us from our Land*.
The ineffectiveness of the leadership in Israel in the area of sovereignty inspires hope in the enemy that by exerting additional pressure by means of terrorism, we will G-d forbid fold, retreat and relinquish the Land that is our life.
This is the time to once again call upon the Israeli government to fulfill its obligation to take possession of the Land.
Our movement, the Sovereignty Movement, calls upon the Prime Minister and his ministers: Take possession of the Land by applying Sovereignty and thereby fulfill the Zionist dream, eradicate the dream of the Arab terrorist leaders, and instill in the people of Israel a renewed message of pioneering and Zionism from a position of genuine strength.
Aloh Na'aleh - "We will go up and take possession of it" (Bemidbar 13:30).
