בנימין
היינו אתמול בבית העלמין לאזכרה שנתית של חמותי, באותה שעה התקיימה הלוויתו של בנימין- הרועה התמים, הקדוש ששמר על אדמת ארץ ישראל.
ילד עם פני מלאך שהבין יותר מהרבה גנרלים את חשיבות שמירת האדמה.
הילד הזה הבין שאין עם בלי אדמה. עם בלי אדמה הוא גולה, הוא זר, הוא נתון למשיסה.
תרמילו היה מלא בידע הסטורי של עמנו, בסבבי הפוגרומים, ידע בדיוק מי שכניו האכזריים, הרי לא מזמן היתה לו תזכורת, ובכל זאת יצא למרעה , כי כך שומרים על האדמה שכה חלמנו לחזור אליה.
ראינו את חבריו שליווהו למנוחתו- ראינו כאב, ראינו נחישות, ראינו מסירות .
נשבעת לכם שראינו שבועה על שפתותיהם: אנחנו נמשיך בכל מחיר.
עם כל העצב התעודדנו- ראינו את הטרומפלדורים של היום השומרים על המחר של כולנו.
ראינו את החנקינים ואת זייד ואת יואל משה סלומון וליבנו התרונן, יש תקוה לאחריתך.

Binyamin
Yesterday, while we were at the cemetery for the yahrzeit of my mother-in-law, the funeral was taking place for the innocent Binyamin, the holy 14 year old shepherd who guarded the soil of the Land of Israel and was brutally murdered by Arabs.
A boy with the face of an angel, who understood more than many generals, the importance of protecting the land.
A youth who understood that there is no nation without land. A nation without a land is in exile, it is alien, it is subject to persecution.
His backpack was full of historical knowledge of our people, of the pogroms, he knew exactly who his cruel neighbors were. After all, it was not long ago that he had a reminder, nevertheless, he took his flock to pasture, because this is the way we protect our land that we so dreamed of returning to.
We saw his friends who accompanied him to his resting place – we saw pain, we saw resolve, we saw dedication.
I swear to you that we saw an oath on their lips: We will continue at any cost.
Along with all of the sadness, we were encouraged – we saw the Trumpeldors of today, guarding the future for all of us.
We saw the Hankins and Zaid and Moshe Solomon and our hearts rejoiced, there is hope for your future.
