פרסום ראשון: יו"ר שדולת הריבונות בבקעת הירדן, ח"כ דן אילוז, הגיש הצעת חוק יחד עם קבוצת חברי כנסת מהימין הקוראת להחיל ריבונות באופן מלא על כל שטחי הבקעה.

על פי הצעת החוק, החלת הריבונות תיכנס לתוקף באופן סמלי בתאריך ה-7 באוקטובר 2024, שנה לאחר הטבח.
אילוז אמר כי "ניצחון אמיתי יגיע רק כשהאויב ירגיש שה-7 באוקטובר היה טעות והפך עבורו ליום אבל.
על מנת לממש את זה, עלינו לנקוט בשני צעדים מרכזיים, לכתוש את הטרור ולהעמיק את השורשים שלנו בארצנו"
את כתישת הטרור עושים חיילנו האמיצים בגבורה בשדה הקרב יום-יום כשהם מנצחים את החמאס ומפרקים את היכולות שלו. כעת, עלינו להשלים את המשימה על ידי העמקת השורשים שלנו בארצנו והחלת הריבונות על חלקים רחבים של הארץ. כך ידע כל אויב הרוצה לגרש אותנו מארצנו שהתוצאה של פעולה נוראית שכזאת תהיה מצד אחד סוף הקיום שלו - וגם תוביל להעמקת השורשים שלנו בארצנו".
מתנועת הריבונות שהייתה חלק מתהליך הצעת החוק נמסר כי "ישראל מותקפת לא רק מצפון ודרום, יש איום קיומי על ישראל גם מהגבול המזרחי. רוב האמל"ח לרשות הפלסטינית מועבר דרך בקעת הירדן, איראן פועלת למיטוט השלטון הירדני והשתלטות על עבר הירדן המזרחי, כדי לתקוף את ישראל מטווח אפס. כמו כן, החלת הריבונות על בקעת הירדן תסגור את האופציה להקמת מדינה פלסטינית. מדינת ישראל חייבת לחזור למהלכים יזומים ולא להיגרר אחרי התקפות אויבינו. החלת הריבונות על בקעת הירדן תהווה צעד הרתעתי וגם צעד אל הניצחון המיוחל".

New bill: Full sovereignty to be imposed over Jordan Valley next October 7

According to the bill, introduced by MK Dan Illouz, the imposition of sovereignty will come into effect on October 7th, 2024, a year after the massacre. 'A true victory will be possible only when the enemy feels that October 7th was a mistake.'
Member of Knesset Dan Illouz has introduced a bill together with a group of right-wing members of Knesset calling for the imposition of full sovereignty over all Jordan Valley territories.
According to the bill, the imposition of sovereignty will come into effect on October 7th, 2024, a year after the massacre.
According to those behind it, the move will represent a victory and link the imposition of sovereignty to this fateful date.
"True victory will be possible only when the enemy feels that October 7th was a mistake, turning it into a day of mourning for them. To achieve this, we must take two central steps - crush terrorism and deepen our roots in our land," Chairman of the Jordan Valley Sovereignty Caucus, MK Dan Illouz, stated.
"Our brave soldiers are destroying the terrorists with courage on the battlefield every day, defeating Hamas and dismantling its capabilities. Now, we must complete the task by deepening our roots in our land and imposing sovereignty over wide areas of the country. This will make it clear to any enemy seeking to expel us from our land that the outcome of such a terrible action will be both the end of its existence and will result in the deepening of our roots in our land," he added.
MK Illouz initiated the move together with the Sovereignty Movement who stated: "Israel is under attack not only from the north and south but also faces an existential threat from the eastern border. The majority of the weapons transferred to the Palestinian Authority pass through the Jordan Valley. Iran is working to undermine Jordanian rule and to take control of the eastern Jordanian border to attack Israel from point-blank range. Additionally, imposing sovereignty over the Jordan Valley will close the option for establishing a Palestinian state.
The State of Israel must return to proactive measures and not be dragged into responding to our enemies' attacks. Imposing sovereignty over the Jordan Valley will be a deterrent step and also a step towards the desired victory."

1) People turn to us and ask why the bill will be passed only in October.
Answer: Introducing a law is a long process. It first goes to a ministerial committee, then it must pass a first preliminary reading, then it must pass committees and discussions. The Knesset is now not active and thus this process will only start in May and will last a few months-bringing us to October if please g-d all goes well.
2) For the bill to pass we need as many members of Knesset to sign, join and vote in favor. Politicians act when they feel pressure from the public. That is where our sovereignty Movement comes in. In the next weeks we will need to promote the topic of sovereignty over the Jordan valley as much as we can. We invite you to join us.
