מועצת גוש עציון: בשדמה צריך לקום ישוב בתוך שנה

בבסיס שדמה שבמזרח גוש עציון התקיים אתמול אירוע פתיחת חגיגות חג העצמאות בגוש עציון. אל המקום הגיעו למעלה מ-250 משתתפים ואורחים בהם ראש מועצת גוש עציון דוידי פרל, חברות הכנסת שולי מועלם-רפאלי ואורית סטרוק אמנים ותושבי האזור.
את הדרך המובילה אל בסיס שדמה המתעורר לחיים בחודשים האחרונים עיטרה תאורת גוזניקים שנצפתה למרחוק. האירוע כולו התקיים כחלק מהמגמה להפיכת המקום למרכז תרבות אזורי, מגמה אותה מקדמים במרץ פעילי תנועת 'נשים בירוק' ואנשי 'הועד למען שדמה יהודית'.
נזכיר כי כזכור, בסיס שדמה הוא בסיס צבאי בפאתי הכפר מזמוריה. הבסיס הממוקם בשטח C שבשליטה ישראלית בין הר חומה להרודיון ננטש ע"י צה"ל בשנת 2006. פעילים אנטי-ישראלים זרים בעזרתם של ערביי בית סאחור הצליחו להשתלט על חלק מהמחנה בעזרת תקציבי ענק שקיבלו מארגון USAID וארגונים אירופים נוספים.
חברי תנועת 'נשים בירוק' ו'הוועד למען שדמה יהודית', בגיבוי המועצה האזורית גוש עציון, ובעזרתם של שרים וחברי כנסת הצליחו בפעילות ציבורית ומעשית להחזיר בשנת 2010 את נוכחותו של צה"ל במקום. כעת מציבים לעצמם הפעילים כיעד מדרגה נוספת, חדשה, של הפעילות בשדמה: הקמת מרכז תרבות לרווחת תושבי מזרח גוש עציון והר חומה בבסיס שננטש.
האירוע נפתח בדברי ברכה של יהודית קצובר, מראשי 'נשים בירוק': "מדינתנו בת 65. לא לדאוג...היא לא יוצאת לפנסיה בעוד שנתיים. מדינתנו שואפת להגיע אל גבולות הארץ המובטחת. גם אם לא במודע – התהליכים מובילים לכך. ראו את ההתפוררות המבורכת מסביב, את אירופה וגם אמריקה בשלבים מתקדמים של החלשות. זה נכון שכולם רוצים לדרדר אותנו יחד איתם תהומה אך למרבה הפלא מדינת ישראל עומדת איתנה רוחנית, כלכלית, ביטחונית והכי חזקה בביקורת עצמית".
עוד הוסיפה קצובר ואמרה: "אנחנו לא מסכימים לרגע לשכב על זרי הדפנה, והנה אנו היום בשדמה ואומרים- צריך עוד! עוד לגדול כדי לנחול את ארץ ישראל. וזה לא מספיק. צריך גם ריבונות בארץ ישראל. ב"ה יש עוד מה לעשות. לכן אנחנו פה. עם מסירות הנפש של הנופלים, עם האנשים הנפלאים שכאן הפועלים למען העם והארץ. יכול נוכל! עלה נעלה! חג שמח!
מיד לאחר דבריה אלה של קצובר נשא דברים הרב ירון דוראני מנוקדים ששיבח את ה"משוגעים" העולים להר, גם בשעות מאוחרות וגם בלילות חג, ה"משוגעים שתמיד הובילו את העם בחלוציות ובהקרבה". יצוין כי הרב דוראני הנו אחד ממובילי המאבק למען שדמה יהודית ולפתיחתו לתנועה של כביש מזרח גוש עציון.
יו"ר מועצת גוש עציון, דוידי פרל, נשא גם הוא דברים ואם מארגני האירוע שמו להם למטרה את המאבק להקמת מרכז תרבותי יהודי בשדמה הרי שהוא אף הרחיק לכת וקבע כי "מרכז תרבות אינו מספיק. עד השנה הבאה צריך לקום כאן בשדמה ישוב קבע".
חברת הכנסת אורית סטרוק (הבית היהודי) נשאה דברי ברכה חגיגיים ואמרה: "הודו לה' כי טוב כי לעולם חסדו". יום העצמאות הוא יום של תודה גדולה ועצומה. תודה על שזכינו לחיות בדור הזה, דור התקומה, דור של ראשית צמיחת גאולת... דור שבו הנבואות מתגשמות, והתפילות, תפילות של דורות רבים, נענות לנגד עינינו, ובעצם בנו-עצמנו, ממש".
עוד הוסיפה חברת הכנסת סטרוק ואמרה: "הנס הגדול והמוחשי מכולם הוא נס קיבוץ גלויות.
"במשך אלפיים שנות גלות חיינו חיים חלקיים, חסרים. קיום המצוות היה לנו בבחינת "הציבי לך ציונים", כי את הרוב הגדול של המצוות לא יכולנו לקיים. והנה, תוך עשרות שנים – עולם שלם של מצוות התלויות בארץ נפתח בפנינו, ורבדים שלמים של חיים יהודיים, שהיו רדומים ומוקפאים, קמו לתחייה".
"אין ספק שהמהפך המשמעותי ביותר בתחום זה היה ביום הזה ממש – יום העצמאות, היום בו חתמנו על מגילת העצמאות והכרזנו על ריבונותנו על ארץ ישראל. למעשה, באותם רגעים היסטוריים, התחלנו לקיים מחדש, כאומה ולא כפרטים, את מצוות ישוב הארץ "לרשת את הארץ אשר נתן הא-ל ית' לאבותינו, לאברהם ליצחק וליעקב, ולא נעזבנה ביד זולתנו מן האומות או לשממה".
בדבריה חיברה סטרוק בין מצוות ישוב ארץ ישראל לבין המאמצים למאבק להשבת שדמה לידיים יהודיות: "מצוות ישוב הארץ היא המצווה המייחדת גם את הפעילות הברוכה, והמדהימה, של "נשים בירוק" ושל "הועד למען שדמה". כאן, במקום הזה, שצה"ל נטש לפני כשבע שנים, החלה פעילות מתמדת, שיטתית ועיקשת שתכליתה היתה בדיוק זו: "שלא נעזבנה ביד זולתנו מן האומות, או לשממה". עקבתי בהתפעלות אחר הפעילות שלכם, שהייתה ממש התגשמות הביטוי הנבואי "כי רצו עבדיך את אבניה ואת עפרה יחוננו". מסירות עצומה, אהבת ארץ ישראל אמתית, בצד עבודה ציבורית ופוליטית מאד מקצועית, וקבלת החלטות נכונות בצמתים וברגעים הנכונים, כשהיעד ברור: אנחנו חוזרים לכאן לא כפרטים, אלא כאומה. מחזירים לכאן את צבא הגנה לישראל, את רשויות השלטון של מדינת ישראל. לכן, היום המתאים ביותר לחגוג בשדמה הוא יום העצמאות, ובצד התודה העצומה לריבונו של עולם, אני מרגישה צורך להודות גם לכן, יהודית ונדיה היקרות, על המנהיגות האמיצה והנבונה שלכן, על הזכות שזיכיתם את כולנו לחזור, ולהחזיר את מדינת ישראל אל המקום הזה, ובכלל על העבודה המתמדת, השיטתית, והמקצועית שאתן משקיעות בכל מה שנוגע למצוות ישוב הארץ, כאן בשדמה, שם בנצר, ובעיקר-בעיקר בפרויקט הגדול של הקריאה להחלת ריבונות ישראל ביהודה ושומרון".
את דבריה חתמה חברת הכנסת סטרוק בדברי ברכה למארגנות האירוע ואמרה: "אין לי ספק, שכשם שהצלחתן בפרויקט הקטן של שדמה, כך תצליחו גם בפרויקט הגדול של הקריאה להחלת הריבונות, שיותר ויותר דמויות בציבוריות ובפוליטיקה הישראלית מזדהות אתה ופועלות לקידומה. חג עצמאות שמח!".
חברת הכנסת שולי מועלם-רפאלי (הבית היהודי) נשאה גם היא דברים בדבר הקשר הישיר אותו היא מוצאת בין המעמד בשדמה לבין אירועי יום הזיכרון לחללי צה"ל בהם נטלה חלק בשעות הבוקר.
מועם-רפאלי הזכירה כי בבוקרו של יום הייתה בבית העלמין הצבאי בחיפה, שם קבור בעלה, סא"ל משה מועלם, והמעמד בשדמה עבורה הוא המשך ישיר ולכן, זו פעם ראשונה מאז שנהרג בעלה, שהיא הסכימה לצאת מהבית בליל יום העצמאות להשתתף בארוע בשדמה.
עוד הוסיפה ואמרה כי עבורה רצף האירועים מפסח דרך יום הזיכרון לשואה ולגבורה דרך יום הזיכרון לחללי צה"ל וחג העצמאות יוצרים מקשה אחת של גאולה על גב גאולה, מגאולת העם היוצא ממצרים ועד הגאולה הנוכחית כאשר בתווך ימי זיכרון והבחירה בחיים.
בהמשך דבריה הזכירה את קביעתו של הרב קוק לפיה מדינת שיראל היא יסוד כיסא ה' בעולם, ואת החובה ללכד עם תורה וארץ.
הערב המשיך ובחלקו האמנותי רוממו המוזיקאי דודו אלהרר והפסנתרנית שרי חדד רוחם של האורחים בשירתה של המשוררת הלאומית נעמי שמר. אלהרר פתח את החלק המוסיקאלי בשיר 'איש מוזר' ובהמשך יולי קים, אחד מגדולי היוצרים מיוצאי ברית המועצות לשעבר, שר שירי געגועים ואהבה לארץ ישראל ברוסית. שירתו הייחודית תורגמה לעברית בידי איגור ביאלסקי, בעל האנטולוגיה לספרות רוסית, ממתרגמי אצ"ג ומלוחמי שדמה, וזאב גייזל, יועץ ראש הממשלה לשעבר לקליטת עליה, מתרגם, מוזיקאי, שחמטאי, מתמטיקאי.

Gush Etzion Regional Council head: A yishuv Has to be Established at Shdema within a Year
The event opening the Yom ha-Atzmaut (Israel Independence Day) celebrations in Gush Etzion was held Monday night at the Shdema base in eastern Gush Etzion. More than 250 participants and guests came to the site, including Davidi Perl, the head of the Gush Etzion Regional Council, MKs Shuli Moalem-Refaeli and Orit Struck, artists, and area residents.
The road leading to the Shdema base, that has come back to life in recent months, was decorated by torch lights that could be seen from afar. The event as a whole was held as part of the goal of transforming the location into a regional cultural center, that is being vigorously advanced by the members of the Women in Green movement and the Committee for a Jewish Shdema.
The Shdema base is an army base next to the village of Mizmoria. The base, that is situated in Israeli-controlled Area C, between Har Homa and Herodion, was abandoned by the IDF in 2006. Foreign anti-Israel activists, aided by Arabs from Beit Sahour, succeeded in taking control of small part of the army camp, with the assistance of huge budgets from USAID and additional European organizations.
The public and on-the-ground activity by members of the Women in Green movement and the Committee for a Jewish Shdema, with the support of the Gush Etzion Regional Council and with the assistance of government ministers and Members of Knesset, succeeded in 2010 in restoring the IDF presence at the base. Now the activists are setting another goal for themselves: taking another, new, step upwards, in the activity at Shdema - the establishment of a cultural center for the benefit of the residents of eastern Gush Etzion and Har Homa in the abandoned buildings at the base.
The event began with greetings by Yehudt Katsover, one of the heads of Women in Green: "Our country is 65 years old. Don't worry, it's not going to retire in two years. Our country aspires to reach the boundaries of the Promised Land. Even if not consciously, the processes lead to this. Look at the disintegration around us, both Europe and America are in advanced stages of weakening. Correct, they all want to push us over the edge together with them, but, wonder of wonders, the State of Israel stands strong, spiritually, economically, security-wise, and the strongest, in self-criticism."
Katsover added: "We don't consent for a minute to rest on our laurels. See, here we are today in Shdema, and we say - more is needed! To grow further, in order to take possession of Eretz Israel. This isn't enough. We also need sovereignty over Eretz Israel. Thank God, there is more to do. This is why we are here. With the self-sacrifice of the fallen, with the wonderful people here who are active on behalf of the people and the land. We shall surely do this! We will certainly go up! Hag sameah!"
Immediately following Katsover's greetings, Rabbi Yaron Durani from Nokdim spoke in praise of the "crazy ones" who ascend the mount, even late at night, and even on holiday nights, the "crazy ones who always led the people, in the pioneering spirit and with self-sacrifice." It should be mentioned that Rabbi Durani is one of the leaders in the struggle for a Jewish Shdema, and for the opening of the eastern Gush Etzion road.
Davidi Perl, the head of the Gush Etzion Regional Council, spoke as well, and while the event organizers set as their goal the struggle for the establishment of a Jewish cultural center at Shdema, he went even further, and declared that "a cultural center isn't enough. By next year, a permanent community has to be established at Shdema."
Member of Knesset Orit Struck (HaBayit HaYehudi) offered festive greetings, saying: Yom ha-Atzmaut is a day of great and tremendous thanks. Thanks for our meriting to live in this generation, the generation of revival, the generation of the first flowering of our redemption, the generation in which the prophecies are fulfilled, the prayers of many generations are answered before our eyes, and actually, in us, ourselves, really."
MK Struck added: "The greatest and most tangible of all the miracles is the ingathering of the exiles. For the two thousand years of exile we lived a partial, lacking life. The observance of the commandments was a sort of 'set up signposts' [Jeremiah 31:21], for we could not observe the great majority of the commandments. And now, within decades - a whole world of the commandments whose observance is dependent on the Land opens up before us, and entire layers of Jewish life, that were dormant and frozen, have come to life.
"The most significant revolution in this realm was undoubtedly on this day, really - Yom ha-Atzmaut, the day on which we signed the Declaration of Independence and proclaimed our sovereignty over Eretz Israel. In effect, in those historic moments we began to observe from anew, as a nation and not as individuals, the commandment to settle the land: 'to possess the land' that G-d, may He be blessed, gave to our Patriarchs, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and not to leave it to anyone among the nations, or to leave it desolate."
In her speech, Struck drew a connection between the commandment to settle the land and the efforts invested in the struggle to restore Shdema to Jewish hands: "The commandment to settle the land is the commandment that characterizes the blessed, amazing activity by Women in Green and the Committee for Shdema. Here, in this place, which the IDF abandoned about seven years ago, the constant, methodical, and determined activity started that had just this aim: 'not to leave it to anyone among the nations, or to leave it desolate.' I admiringly followed your activity, that was really the realization of the prophetic utterance: 'Your servants take delight in its stones, and cherish its dust' [Psalms 102:15]. The tremendous devotion, the true love of Eretz Israel, together with very professional public and political work, and the taking of right decisions at the right junctures and moments, with a clear goal: we are returning here, not as individuals, but as a nation. We are returning to here the Israel Defense Forces, the governmental authority of the State of Israel. Accordingly, the most appropriate day to celebrate at Shdema is Yom ha-Atzmaut. Along with the tremendous thanks to the Master of the Universe, I also find it necessary to thank you, dear Yehudit and Nadia, for your courageous and wise leadership, for your having enabled us all to return, to bring back the State of Israel to this place, and generally, for the constant, methodical, and professional work that you invest in everything connected with the commandment to settle the land, here at Shdema, there at Netzer, and mainly, especially, in the great project of the call to apply Israeli sovereignty over Judea and Samaria."
MK Struck concluded her speech with congratulations to the event organizers, and by saying: "I am certain that just as you have succeeded in the small project of Shdema, so, too, you will succeed in the great project of the call for the application of sovereignty, with which more and more public figures and those in Israel politics identify, and which you are actively advancing. Hag Atzmaut sameah!"
MK Shuli Moalem-Refaeli (HaBayit HaYehudi), as well, spoke about the direct connection she finds between the event at Shdema and the IDF Memorial Day events in which she participated in the morning.
Moalem-Refaeli mentioned that the morning of that day she had been in the Haifa military cemetery, where her husband, Lieutenant Colonel Moshe Moalem, is buried. For her, the event at Shdema is the direct continuation, and therefore, this is the first time since her husband was killed that she consented to leave her home on Yom ha-Atzmaut eve, and participate in the event at Shdema.
She added that, for her, the continuity of events from Passover through Holocaust Memorial Day to IDF Memorial Day and the Yom ha-Atzmaut holiday are all of a single piece, of redemption over redemption, from the redemption of the people leaving Egypt to the present redemption, with memorial days and the choice of life in the middle.
The evening continued and in its artistic part, the musician Dudu Elharar and the pianist Shari Hadad elevated the spirits of the guests with the songs of the national poet Noaomi Shemer. Elharar opened the musical part with the song "Ish Muzar" (A Strange Man), and in the continuation of the music, Yuli Kim, one of the greatest artists from the Former Soviet Union, sang songs in Russian of longings and love for Eretz Israel. His special singing was translated into Hebrew by Igor Bialski, the editor of an anthology of Russian literature, one of the translators of Uri Zevi Greenberg, member of the Committee for a Jewish Shdema and Zeev Geisel, former advisor to the Prime Minister on immigrant absorption, a translator, musician, chess champion, and mathematician.
