תושבים מגיבים לטרור האבנים: נוכחות יהודית בצירי התנועה
לנוכח התגברות גל טרור האבנים בכבישי יהודה ושומרון בכלל ובכבישי גוש עציון בפרט, ולנוכח חוסר תגובה הרתעתית מצד כוחות הביטחון, ייצאו היום (רביעי 10/4) תושבים מאפרת יחד עם פעילי תנועת 'נשים בירוק' ל"מבצע תגובת נוכחות יהודית" בנקודות רגישות על צירי התנועה.
מארגני האירוע נערכים להתמקם לפנות ערב (בשעה 18:45) ביציאה הצפונית של אפרת, נקודה בה נפגעו רבים מתושבי האזור מיידויי אבנים. במקום יוצבו שולחן וכסאות ותושבים ותומכיהם יגיעו להפגנת הנוכחות לצד ציר התנועה.
לאחר תפילת מנחה יימסר שיעור קצר מפיו של הרב שלמה קמחי.
נדיה מטר, ממארגני האירוע, מדגישה כי אין מדובר בהפגנה אלא ב"מפגן נוכחות יהודית", כלשונה. "יש לנו מסר ברור ואותו נבהיר ונעביר – כאן ביתנו וזו ארצנו. נתהלך בכל מקום בארצנו כפי שנוהג כל עם חופשי וריבון בארצו".
עוד מוסיפה מטר ואומרת כי "יידוי אבנים בידי ערבים על יהודים אינה רק פגיעה וסכנה פיזית, אלא גם פגיעה בכבוד היהודי והלאומי של כולנו. המטרה של הערבים היא לא רק לרצוח את הנהג המסוים שעליו הם זורקים אבנים אלא גם לזרוע פחד בקרב כל היהודים בניסיון להבריח אותנו מהצירים בפרט ומארץ ישראל בכלל. לא ניתן למזימה הזאת לקרות. במבצע הנוכחות היהודית נבהיר לכוחות הביטחון שאם הם לא מוצאים לנכון להציב במקום נוכחות צבאית נסייע להם ונציב נוכחות יהודית אזרחית".

Residents Respond to Arab Stoning Terror: Jewish Presence on the Roads
In the face of the rise in Arab stoning terror on the roads of Judea and Samaria, and especially on the roads of Gush Etzion, and in light of the lack of a deterrent response by the security forces, today (Wednesday April 10), Efrat residents, together with members from the Women in Green movement, will engage in the Jewish Presence Response Operation at sensitive spots on the roads.
The operation's organizers are preparing a Jewish presence this evening, at 6:45 p.m., at the northern entrance to Efrat, where many of the area's residents have borne the brunt of stonings. A chair and tables will be set up, and residents and their supporters will come for a show of a Jewish presence next to the road. After Minha prayers, Rabbi Shlomo Kimchi will deliver a short shiur.
Nadia Matar, one of the organizers of the event, emphasizes that this is not a demonstration, but "a show of Jewish presence," in her words. "We have a clear message, which we will make crystal-clear to all: here is our home, and this is our land. We will go about everywhere in our land, as a free and sovereign people acts in its land."
Matar adds that "stone throwing by Arabs at Jews is not only physically dangerous and causes physical harm, it also tarnishes the Jewish and national honor of us all. The goal of the Arabs is not only to murder the specific driver at whom the stones are thrown, they also want to sow fear among all the Jews, in an attempt to cause us to flee from the roads, and more generally, from all of Eretz Israel.
