Attention English speakers – simultaneous translation of Shdema lectures

 

Dear Friends,

 

PLEASE FORWARD THIS EMAIL TO ALL ENGLISH SPEAKING LISTS

 

As per the request of so many English speakers who want to come and hear the fascinating weekly Friday lectures in our Shdema Erets Israel Center but can't because of the Hebrew, here is good news:

We have the opportunity to organize weekly simultaneous translations- we know where to purchase the (second hand ) equipment and we have the translators willing to come all the way to Shdema on a weekly basis- all we need now is sponsors who will help us fund this project.

 

The cost is as follows:

To buy the  equipment (second hand in good condition):

2 transmitters =  660 nis +vat

Each earphone = 180 nis + vat (we would start with 40 earphones)

Translator = 1300 nis + vat per week 

 

The total cost  would thus be:

Equipment (for 40 earphones) : 9276 nis  which is $ 2627

Translator: 1534 nis per week which is $ 434

                   There are at least 30 lectures per year which means

                    an expense of 46.020 nis or $13,000 per year

 

Total: equipment + translation service for a year:  $15,627

 

Help us make this possible to strengthen Erets Israel!

Enabling us to purchase the weekly translation service will enable so many more people to come to Shdema on a weekly basis and thus strengthen the Jewish presence there even more.
