עידכונים מעוז וגאו"ן
חברים יקרים,
הפעילות היומיומית בעוז וגאו"ן נמשכת. עבודות פיתוח הגבעה במשך כל היום וב17:30 פעילות לילדים.
אורחים רבים פוקדים את היער מדי יום: אתמול הגיעו מבקרים מהגולן, מרעננה, מגדרה וכמובן מהאזור, ירושלים, גוש עציון ובית שמש. משפחה שלמה הגיעה לטקס יארצייט לסבא. עולים חדשים מבלטימור שנחתו ארצה לפני שבוע הקימו אוהל ועברו את הלילה במקום- עם מנגל ופיקניק הפכו מיד לישראלים.
היום יום חמישי , כ"ה אב, 21/8, בשעה 17:30 יהנו הילדים מסדנת פיתות עם זהורית שייחי בלום. בערב מקיימים המתנדבים ערב הוקרה לכל המתנדבים שעבדו בקיץ בגבעה.
מחר יום שישי כ"ו אב 22/8 בשעה 9:00 בבוקר נגיע לעוז וגאו"ן לשמוע שיעור בפרשת השבוע מפי הרב אלחנן סמט.
הרב סמט, תושב כפר עציון, רב ומורה לתנ"ך, התפרסם בזכות שיעוריו ומאמריו בתנ"ך הן במסגרות השגרתיות והן במסגרת "ימי העיון בתנ"ך" המתקיימים בישיבת הר עציון. העיונים שפרסם באינטרנט על פרשות השבוע במסגרת בית המדרש הווירטואלי של ישיבת הר עציון יצאו לאור בספריו "עיונים בפרשות השבוע" שיצאו בשלש סדרות בהוצאת "מעליות".

Dear friends,
The daily activity at Givat Oz veGaon continues. There is work to develop the hill all day, and at 5:30 p.m. there are activities for children.
Many visitors come to the site every day: yesterday, visitors came from the Golan, Raanana, Gedera, and, of course, from close by - Jerusalem, Gush Etzion, and Beit Shemesh. An entire family came for the anniversary yahrzeit ceremony for their grandfather. New immigrants from Baltimore who arrived in Israel a week ago set up a tent and spent the night on the hill - with a barbecue grill and a picnic, and immediately became Israelis.
Today, Thursday, August 21, at 5:30 p.m.: children will enjoy a pitta workshop with Zoharit Sheihi Bloom. In the evening at 8:00pm the volunteers will host an evening in appreciation of all the volunteers who worked on the hill during the summer.
Tomorrow, Friday, August 22, at 9:00 a.m.: we will come to Givat Oz veGaon to hear a class given by Rabbi Elchanan Samet on the weekly Torah portion.
Rabbi Samet, a resident of Kfar Etzion, is a rabbi and Bible teacher. He is known for his Bible lessons and articles, throughout the year and at the Bible Study Days program at Herzog College. His studies on the weekly Torah portion that go out on the Internet, as part of Yeshivat Har Etzion's Virtual Beit Midrash, have been collected in his Studies in the Weekly Parasha books, three volumes of which have been published.
Preparations for the eighth Shabbat on Givat Oz veGaon
With G-d's help, we are preparing for the eighth Shabbat on the hill. Anyone wanting to spend Shabbat at Oz veGaon is requested to register with Michal Lukimson, 054-7679043.

Preparations for Rosh Hashanah on the hill are underway. We need a shofar blower, and people to lead prayers.
